(Chapter 1)

Summary: Two time travelers from the year 2000 follow the incomplete and newly discovered last scroll written by Gabrielle. The scroll tells how they joined forces with Xena and Gabrielle to fight the evil Dahak. And history can't be changed!

Xena, Gabrielle, Joxer, and Dahak are owned by MCA/Universal. These versions of Questar, Mace, China Dragon, Billy Ray, and G.O.L.D. (Global Order of Law and Defense), Golden Girl (Apella) are owned by me under my real name since 1986 and in no way infringe on others who might have characters with similar names.

For the purists out there, this story takes place sometime after the reconciliation of Xena and Gabrielle in an alternate reality. Due to the events in this story, they will not journey to India, die in Rome and other 4th season happenings in this reality. It was late afternoon as Xena and Gabrielle made their way through the sparsely wooded area. They were close to the Aegean Sea, and in fact, could even see patches of clear blue water through the trees. The gentle spring warmth, combined with the sea breeze and the sound of the waves was making the two women lazy. Xena was leading Argo, holding the reins loosely.

The duo were on their way to the port city of Tarlocus, but they wouldn't make it this day even if they hurried anyhow. From Tarlocus they planned on taking a ship to Athens. Xena disliked going to large cities, but Gabrielle wanted to revisit the Athenian library and after much begging had talked Xena into it.

The wind shifted, bringing a new, if familiar sound to the two women. The sound of battle! Close, perhaps only a few hundred yards. Xena quickly tied Argo off to a tree as Gabrielle gripped her staff tighter.

"Just once I'd like to go somewhere without having someone try to kill me," Gabrielle grumbled.

Two men burst through a clump of bushes 50 yards ahead, running like Hades himself was after them. Xena and Gabrielle instantly recognized their uniforms. These men were members of the Dahak's 'Elite Guard'!

Dahak soldiers don't run, Xena thought, least of all the Elite Guard. They're fanatics. For them, to run is to die.

To Xena's surprise, they recognized her and still ran on despite the 10,000 dinar price Dahak had placed on her head. Xena was somewhat angered by the knowledge that whatever these men had been fighting frightened them more than she did.

Xena hurled her chakram at the fleeing men. The disc shaped weapon careened off 2 trees, knocked the first man down, knocked the second man down, bounced off another tree, hit a boulder, then flew straight back to Xena's hand. Gabrielle straddled one man, planting her staff against the man's Adam's apple. Xena landed a quick nerve jab to the other man. Both men had already been beaten to a pulp.

"I've just cut off the supply of oxygen to your brain. You have 30 seconds to talk, dog," Xena ordered. "Dahak Elite are not known for running away, so you're going to tell me what you're running from."

"M-M-M-onsters! T-two of t-them," the soldier gasped.

"Where is your master?! Where is Dahak? Answer me, scum!" Xena demanded.

"T-Tarlocus," the coward confessed.

Xena released the death stick from the cowardly fanatic and motioned Gabrielle to pull back. Gabrielle turned and started to move towards Xena, when the man she'd been guarding pulled a dagger and tried to stab her in the back. Before the would-be murderer could strike, Xena threw her breast dagger into his heart. The other man had also pulled his dagger and lunged at Xena's back. Xena spun around, caught the killer's wrist, and landed a killing chop across the man's throat.

Xena ripped an amulet off the man she'd killed. There was some weird writing on it and Xena thought that maybe Gabrielle might try reading it later.

"Let's go see these monsters," Xena said retrieving her dagger. "Any monster that hates Dahak as much as I do I want to see."

"I knew you were going to say that," Gabrielle mumbled to herself.

The duo took off running towards the sound of the raging battle. Woods quickly gave way to dunes. Cresting the top of one where they could see without being seen, an amazing sight greeted their eyes. Nearly 60 members of the 'Dahak Elite' were scattered prone along the beach. Some were dead, but most were merely unconscious. Another 40 were being beaten bloody by 2 unarmed muscular men.

Monsters, my ass, Xena thought. They look more like Gods! The older man was 6' 6" tall with shoulder length dark hair with piercing blue eyes. Xena knew those eyes. They were hers without the guilt of her past. The younger man was 6' 2" with slightly longer blond hair. He had tried a mustache and recently shaved it off. His green eyes were the exact same shade as Gabrielle's.

Both men were well built. Xena recognized them as having the wiry muscularity of gymnasts or martial artists rather than those of some muscle-bound athletes she had seen. This fact was further reinforced by their fighting style, which combined acrobatics, Shaolin, karate, muy Thai, north and south kung-fu, ninjutsu, and a style that even Xena had never seen before.

The resemblance between them was obvious. Father and son? No, the age difference was no more than 10 years. Brothers then? They were used to fighting together, as they covered each others backs well. Ten more fanatics fell, 7 to the older man.

Xena noticed that Gabrielle was staring at the blond with her 'love at first sight' expression on her face. Xena smiled inwardly. Here we go again, Xena thought, although she was also finding herself drawn to the dark haired man. It was then that Xena realized something else about the 2 men.

"They're not trying to kill," Xena whispered. "There are a few soldiers that are dead, but they're deliberately pulling their punches!"

"I'm glad he's not a killer," Gabrielle whispered staring at the blond.

Xena was proven right on her guess, as the 2 men could now be heard above the sounds of battle.

"You're slowing down, little brother! I'm taking out almost 3 to 1," the dark haired man laughed as he fought.

"Age before beauty, big bro," the blond replied.

A sneak tried to back stab the dark haired man. The coward received a spinning back fist from the older man that separated his head from his body. The head flew 50 feet away from the body.

"Ooooooo! That's gonna leave a mark," the blond said, knocking 2 soldiers out.

Is that what those cowards meant by monsters? Xena thought. The dark haired man had revealed possessing superhuman strength, the younger man undoubtedly did as well. The odds were now down to 20 to 2, with the 20 beat to bloody pulps and the 2 barely breathing hard.

"Aren't we going to help them?" Gabrielle asked.

"In a minute. I'm really not sure that they need any help," Xena answered. "I think they could finish this any time they wanted to."

Few were the men that impressed Xena. This dark haired man was in a class that only Hercules had reached. But even Hercules had never made her feel this way. There was an obvious physical attraction to this strange man, but yet, it was more than that. Looking back at Gabrielle, Xena saw that the bard was totally lost in the blond.

Another cowardly backstabber, this one coming up behind the younger blond man, who was, for the first time, too far away from his brother. The dark haired man didn't see the backstabber as he disposed of 4 men with a single spin kick. Xena's chakram flew through the air sending the fanatic into the next life before returning to her hand. With her distinctive cry, Xena leaped, did 2 mid-air somersaults, before kicking two Elites out of the fight, then landing on her feet sword drawn.

Gabrielle followed, running down the dune, making a beeline for the blond. The cowards attempt on his brothers life lit a fire in the older man as he began using deliberate lethal force for the first time. Within minutes the fight was over with only Xena, Gabrielle, and the 2 strangers still standing.

"Not friends of yours I take it," the older man said.

"These men are the elite force of the Dahak," Xena replied. "They have no friends, only victims."

"Dahak? That's the Chaos Lord we've come to destroy," the dark haired man said.

"Chaos Lord?" Gabrielle asked.

"Evil Elder Gods that even predate the Titans. Very nasty. It took an alliance of a dozen different pantheons allied with mankind to finally kill most of them and send the rest into the Nether Sphere," the dark haired man continued. There are lots of leftover creatures like hydras from that time when man and god fought together. The gods erased the memory from man, but where we come from it was revealed when the Chaos Lords escaped their exile."

"There were thirteen of them, now only Dahak and Daemonus are left," the blond said, shyly smiling at Gabrielle.

"Where are my manners? I'm called Questar, and this knuckle head whose life you just saved is my kid brother Mace," the dark haired man, now known as Questar said, putting Mace in a fake headlock and giving him noogies like Xena and Gabrielle had seen boys do.

"Ow! Uncle! Auntie Em! And your little dog too," Mace said in mock surrender.

"You seem to know about the Dahak, a Chaos Lord you call him," Xena said.

"I should. I'm part of the reason why there are only 2 left out of the 13," Questar said, releasing his brother.

"Oh really," Xena said as she folded her arms, slightly amused.

"I'm second in command of a team of heroes called the Global Order of Law and Defense, G.O.L.D. for short," Questar started.

"China Dragon's our head honcho, but we don't see him much these days," Mace interrupted," So my big bro's really been in charge for about the last year."

"We've been fighting the Chaos Lords for years, picking them off one or two at a time," Questar continued, ignoring Mace. "That's why Dahak came back to this time. The gods don't want to start another war so they'll pretty much leave him alone. Chaos Lords are extremely powerful, but they can be beaten. With only 2 of them left and 12 G.O.L.D. members, Dahak figured that his chances of survival was better if he wasn't around us."

"They killed a lot of us too. In fact, they started killing us first," Mace said, remembering the many fallen heroes of G.O.L.D. and the Alliance of Justice," The Chaos Lords are pure raw evil. They make your Ares look like Cupid."

Gabrielle giggled as the thought of a winged Ares wearing shorts decorated with pink hearts entered her mind. She's so beautiful, Mace thought, so vulnerable and pure, even after all the hell she's been through.

Gabrielle caught Mace looking at her, and blushing turned her head. No man had ever made her feel this way, not even Perdicus.

"We should leave before those two runners get back with reinforcements," Questar said. "We have a camp set up and you're welcome to join us."

"Actually, to tell the truth, we're lost," Mace said sheepishly. "We ran into these guys when we went out searching for someone to tell us the way to Tarlocus."

"You don't have to worry about those two, we ran into them in the woods," Xena smiled.

"Everyone knows where Tarlocus is," Gabrielle said, amazed.

"Uh, we're not from around here. Not by some 2000 years, an ocean and a continent or two," Mace said.

"They attacked us when we asked about you," Questar said, again ignoring Mace. "We asked them if they knew of Xena and the famous bard Gabrielle. I presume that you are her because I've heard of no other warrior woman of this era who could use a chakram like that."

"Yes, I'm Xena. Why are you looking for me?" Xena asked.

Brains and brawn. Despite not knowing where Tarlocus is, Xena thought, it would be wise to be on our guard around these men.

"Famous bard Gabrielle?" Gabrielle asked.

"I promise we'll explain it all later. You will probably want to retrieve your horse. Aton? Atog?" Questar fumbled, forgetting the name.

"Argo. And yes, I think that would be best," Xena said. "What about them?"

"Lao Tzu, 'Let your enemy do your work for you.' Chaos Lords are very intolerant of failure. If Dahak is stupid enough to waste 75 of his own men that's his business. If these guys are smart they'll head for the hills," Questar said. "Either way, we won't have to face this bunch again."

A sad smile crept up on Xena's face. She wondered what Questar would think if he knew that it had actually been Lao Ma that had wrote that. Xena and Gabrielle made their way back to where Argo patiently waited for them. Gabrielle had a silly grin on her face. Once the women were out of sight, Questar and Mace began rounding up the soldiers/prisoners.

"She's so pretty, so pure," Mace sighed. "I think I love her."

"I know what you mean, Max. I feel the same way about Xena," Questar said. "Max, try not to use your powers around them until they can accept what we are. Just because we're telling the truth doesn't mean everything. It's an old scroll, incomplete, with lots of missing parts. And Gabrielle is a romantic."

"They'll probably try SOP time travel number 2" Mace said. "Split us up and try to pump us for information."

"Just tell the truth, Max. They won't believe us at first," Questar agreed, "but we really are heroes from 2000+ years in the future."

Questar and Mace made the beat up fanatics take off their pants and throw them into one pile and their weapons into another. Now they would have no choice but to flee or die as they would return not only beaten, but humiliated as well. Once the soldiers staggered out of sight, Questar used his power of pyrokinesis to reduce the weapons into molten slag. Mace used his own slightly weaker pryokinesis to burn the pile of pants to ashes.

The melted metal cooled quickly. The slagged steel weighed almost a ton, but Mace picked it up with one hand. Mace handed the huge hunk of metal to Questar, who threw it a mile out to sea.

"Sorry about the pollution Poseidon," Questar joked.

"Y'know, they won't believe we're from the future," Mace sighed, "just like we have a hard time believing that all the gods that Xena's met are real."

"You're right. I've known Golden Girl for years, but I never really believed that she was the daughter of Apollo," Questar said. "Since then, our recent experiences with the pantheons of China and Japan, our little trip to Asgard, and all the things that have happened in our war with the Chaos Lords I'm ready to believe almost anything. Most people don't believe that we exist in our own time."

"For real. According to the 'Xena Chronicles' they've actually met Hercules, Ares, Aphrodite, the Furies, and several others that we always thought were just stories," Mace agreed.

Xena untied Argo and the two of them started heading back. Both women had been silent, lost in thought. Even though they had just met the two strange men, Xena and Gabrielle already had feelings for them that they couldn't explain.

"Do you think he's handsome? Mace, I mean," Gabrielle asked, breaking the uncomfortable silence.

"I suppose so," Xena smiled, "but he's a little too pretty boy to me."

"Ha! I knew it! You like Questar, don't you?" Gabrielle teased.

"He's an interesting man," Xena said, thinking about Questar's blue eyes.

"I wonder what they meant saying that I'm famous where they come from? Not that I mind of course," Gabrielle giggled.

"Gabrielle, I want to you to question Mace. Find out all you can about him. I really don't want you alone with him because of the way the two of you have been looking at each other. I don't have a choice though. Questar is older and a natural leader. He may be too clever for you to handle," Xena said.

"You can trust them, Xena," a woman's voice behind them said.

Xena and Gabrielle were surprised to see Aphrodite standing there as they whirled around. Xena was growing angry. She was unused to being surprised and this day had seen far too many for her liking.

"Aphrodite! What are you doing here?" Xena demanded. "Is this one of your tricks? Or one of Ares, perhaps?"

"I resent that," Ares said as he appeared beside Aphrodite. "I wouldn't even be here if father hadn't made me. I don't care much for your latest choices in men."

"Look, Xena, you don't have any reason to trust us. The gods haven't exactly been very helpful, but we don't have any reason to deceive you. That man, Questar, everything he's going to tell you is the truth," Aphrodite said. "Much of what they say will seem unbelievable, even bizarre, but you can trust them. They are men of unusual ability and courage."

"What about this story about the Dahak? Is he what they claim him to be? A Chaos Lord?" Gabrielle innocently asked.

"Don't even mention that name!!" Ares roared, then quickly calmed down. "I fought them, a long time ago. They were unimaginably powerful back then. Even the bolts of Zeus seemed to merely annoy them. It took the combined pantheons of Greece, Egypt, Asgard, China, Japan, and those of the America's to weaken them enough for our combined might to force them into the Nether Sphere. Even then we would not have succeeded if man had not destroyed all of their temples and slain every last one of their followers."

"Listen well, Xena, the Gods are too fearful to aid you in this struggle," Aphrodite started.

"All we are allowed to tell you is that the L word that I hate is the key," Ares finished as he disappeared.

"Xena, Gabrielle, treasure them. They are the finest men you could ever have," Aphrodite said, unexpectedly embracing first Xena and then Gabrielle.

Aphrodite was in tears as she also disappeared. You are in for a pleasant surprise, Little Miss Innocent, Aphrodite thought about Gabrielle.

Back on the beach Questar and Mace covered up the evidence of their powers. Questar was thinking about Xena. Xena's existence had been forgotten by history until WW2 when the first scroll of the 'Xena Chronicles' was found. Later discoveries in the late 1980's had caused a worldwide sensation. This had even led to a tv show along with a merchandise blitz. The real thing is prettier than her imaginary counterpart, Questar thought.

"Time travel is a tricky thing," Mace said, breaking Questar's thoughts. "This is my first time, but you and Dragon used to do it a lot. Dragon really liked going to the American west for awhile. Why did you stop?"

"I think it was when I failed to save Lincoln and learned, once and for all, that history can't be changed. I was right there, I knew where Booth was, I knew the exact moment he would assassinate Lincoln and I couldn't stop him," Questar frowned. "Time travel is such a fickle paradox. Shiro is a genius to not only invent a time machine, but also make it small enough to fit into a watch."

"And don't forget the universal translators in our belt buckles," Mace said," We hear their Greek in English and vice versa."

"Time travel has certain rules, we can't go to the future because it hasn't happened yet, but by the same token we can bring certain people back with us. We can't kill our ancestors or someone important historically important," Questar continued. "I'd love to take out Caesar for trying to crucify Xena, but Caesar, Hitler, Stalin, and all those butchers will get to live. Anyone we do kill, even accidentally, it's because we're destined to."

"And we can't bring guns because they haven't been invented yet. That's weird. We could bring a light saber to here though or bring an Uzi to 1776," Mace said," Man, I can see how this can get confusing fast."

"Our past is their future and it can drive you crazy trying to figure things out," Questar said. "In our time Tarlocus is nothing but ruins. Here, it's a busy seaport for the next 200 years. Steve found the scroll 2 weeks ago our time, Gabrielle is just now writing it today and tomorrow."

"In other words, we can die 2000 years before we're born. What did Shiro say about animals?" Mace asked.

"You can't bring an animal back with you because they don't have the intelligence to survive the journey through time," Questar said. "Dragon himself once had to leave a horse he was fond of in 1887."

Xena and Gabrielle had heard every word of the brothers' conversation. Much of it they could not understand. The men claimed to be from the future and as impossible as that seemed Xena and Gabrielle remembered the words of Ares and Aphrodite to trust them. Acting innocent they rejoined the the men, who smiled as they noticed them. Harmless small talk was all that transpired as the foursome walked the mile to the sheltered lean-to Questar and Mace had built earlier that day.

The sun was getting low as the men gathered firewood that would be needed first to cook on, and later to stave off the early morning chill. A shallow freshwater creek was nearby, so Xena and Gabrielle took a quick dip to wash up. Giving them their privacy, Questar and Mace unpacked their equipment from their 'spatial backpacks.'

Another invention of Shiro's, the 'spatial backpacks' could hold 10 times their size of equipment, but it couldn't reduce the weight of whatever was stored inside. That meant that only people like Questar and Mace who possessed super-human strength could carry one fully loaded. When the women returned Questar and Mace excused themselves for their own bath. This was another plus for them as Xena and Gabrielle liked men who bathed.

After washing up and changing into fresh clothes the men rejoined them. Mace and Gabrielle were staring at each other shyly.

"I think I'll check around to make sure none of our friends decide to have another go at us," Questar suggested, breaking the tension.

"I'll go with you," Xena stated, strapping on her sword, waiting for the excuse to find out more about him.

"Excellent idea. We'll leave the lovebirds here," Questar teased. "Don't do anything I wouldn't do little brother. Of course, there there isn't anything I wouldn't do alone with a pretty girl."

Mace threw several mock punches and kicks at Questar, who easily picked them off laughing.

The End - Chapter 1

(Chapter 2)

Xena found herself drawn to Questar more and more as they talked. He was totally open with her. With Xena, Questar felt a kindred spirit. Strange coming from such different backrounds. Xena told him of her childhood in Amphipolis, how her desire to protect her home had led her to learn the art of war, her betrayal at the hands of Caesar, then how she spent years as the tool of Ares before her redemption by Hercules.

Xena told Questar everything, the bad as well as the good. She didn't know why, but somehow knew, that no matter what she had done in the past, this man could accept her for what she now was. In the presence of Questar, Xena felt like a part of her very soul was returned to her.

Questar's life seemed more unnatural than Xena's. The son of a dedicated man who enforced the law. Questar called him the 'Police Commissioner of Los Angeles' and explained that that meant that his father held a very high rank. Questar had spent all of his free time as a child with his best friend China Dragon in the dojo of Dragon's guardian. Though not related by blood, Questar and Dragon were 'brothers' in every sense of the word. They were so much alike that they didn't even need to speak to know what the other was thinking.

The only other person who was in their circle was a slightly older boy named Billy Ray. Dragon and Questar were 'brothers,' Billy Ray was a mutual best friend. As they grew older it was oon apparent that all three boys were different. Billy Ray could run faster than the wind, Questar was stronger than many men combined and also had certain 'powers of the mind,' and China Dragon, while he posessed no powers, developed skill in the martial arts far beyond any man or demi-god that had ever lived.

"I'm good, but Dragon's magic," Questar said, sadly smiling. "Maybe that's why the Chinese pantheon chose him to be their 'God of the Martial Arts.' They picked the 100 greatest fighters of all time, plucking them from various time periods for a tournament. Yuan Ti, the Chinese 'God of War' asked Dragon who he wanted as his first opponent. China Dragon said he wanted to fight all 99 of them at the same time. Everyone was surprised when he actually won, and rather handily too."

"You seem sad about his winning. Why is that?" Xena asked.

"He's not the same. Dragon looks like he's made out of solid gold, but what's worse is that he's become hard, emotionless. he dissapears for days, even weeks sometimes. I've been holding G.O.L.D. together for the last year," Questar continued. "When he does show up he won't talk to anyone. Not me, not Billy, not even his wife, Princess Tara."

"And Mace?" Xena asked. "What about him?"

"That's about the only good thing that's come out of this is that Mace and I finally got close. There's 10 years age difference between us. I had Dragon and Billy, and later on Apella, Blue, and Mei Wong. There was no room for a real little brother in my life," Questar sadly said. "Max and Dragon were never close. I guess Max even kind of resented Dragon for stealng me from him or something."

"Max?" Xena asked puzzled.

"Oh, sorry. That's Mace. That's his real name, Maximilian Starr. Max is code-named Mace for various reasons. Only his friends and family call him Max," Questar said," Don't ask what my real name is."

Questar told Xena more. How at age 17 China Dragon and Billy Ray had joined G.O.L.D., then headed up by the Amerind shamen Bearclaw. Bearclaw had wanted Questar too, but Questar had yet to master his psionic powers and had stayed behind. But fate would often intervene and Questar assisted G.O.L.D. on many occasions, becoming an unofficial member.

It was then that the Chaos Lords broke free and renewed their war with mankind. But man had grown stronger, both in technology and in the appearance of mutants and meta-humans. While some used their powers for evil, others fought for good. From the beginning of their new war, the Chaos Lords saw the potential of China Dragon G.O.L.D., making them their first targets.

Working behind the scenes at first, the Chaos Lords took control of Billy Ray and forced him to splinter the group and disgrace himself. During the second phase of their plan Bearclaw was seriously injured and forced to retire. Thinking that G.O.L.D. was finished, the Chaos Lords revieled themselves and murdered the now helpless Bearclaw.

That had been their biggest mistake. China Dragon rebuilt G.O.L.D. starting with Questar now in complete control of his powers. Adding to them was the woman who won Dragon's heart Tara, followed by Shiro and then others. Many were the heroes who fell, Twoswords, Behemoth, Barracuda, Sgt. Hawk, and many others. But always, new heroes would rise up to take their place.

Without having human followers for thousands of years, the Chaos Lords were far weaker than they had once been. Nor could they regin their previous levels of power without followers. One by one G.O.L.D. cut them down. The tide of battle began to change and soon the remaining Chaos Lords found themselves on the defensive.

Billy Ray was redeemed and returned to the fight. Then China Dragon earned his current demi-god status and the Chaos Lords could hang it up. Yuan Ti, a far different 'God of War' than Ares, even joined in. Yuan Ti advocated such things as war only in self defense, protection of civilians above all else, combat only between warriors and other ideas that Ares would think was weird for a War God.

"That almost brings us up to now. Dragon's taken himself out of the picture, but there's only 2 left, Daemonus and Dahak," Questar said," As fantastic as it may sound I really am from over 2000 years in the future. The name of Xena was lost from history until the discovery of the first of what we now call the 'Xena Chronicles' during the 1940's. More of Gabrielle's writings have been discovered over the years causing a worldwide sensation. Two weeks ago, my time, a friend of mine, an archaeologist named Steven Guard, discovered several scrolls written by Gabrielle in Tarlocus. After reading them he turned them over to the government in Athens. All except one."

"Why only one?" Xena asked, totally intrigued by all the things that Questar had told her.

"That one is the last recorded scroll of Gabrielle," Questar grimly said. "It's dated today and tomorrow. I'm sorry, I have to tell you all this. The scroll is unfinished and severely water damaged, but parts of it are readable. After tomorrow, you and Gabrielle vanish from recorded history."

"I see. I've faced death before future man, it holds no terror for me," Xena said," But for gentle Gabrielle I would wish for a different fate."

Questar's story was indeed fantastic and hard to believe. But gazing into Questar's deep blue eyes Xena somehow knew he spoke truly. Questar was so much like Hercules. A man who used his powers to help others, not for fame or personal glory, but simply because he could. It would be so easy to fall in love with him, Xena thought, not sure if she hadn't already.

"The scroll doesn't say that we die," Questar said "It doesn't say what happens to any of us."

"We? Us?" Xena asked confused.

"I can't read Greek, all I know is what Steve translated. I also don't know the exact wording, but it goes something like this; And on that fateful day, two men from the future, Questar and Mace as they were known, travelled far to the city of Tarlocus. There they fought the evil of the Dahak at the side of Xena, the warrior princess and the faithful Gabrielle, never more to be seen by the eyes of the Gods!" Questar said. " Uh, there's another line in there somewhere."

So, he's hiding something after all, Xena thought. Questar excused himself for a nature call. Now suspicious, Xena silently spied on him. On a day that had been full of surprises, this was another one. By Zeus! Is he a man or a centaur? Xena thought as she saw the manhood of Questar. Not even Hercules was as well endowed as this future man. Xena hid a rare blush as she composed herself before Questar returned. He had regained the points he'd lost and gotten a few more to boot.

"I hope you won't think I'm hiding anything, Xena," Questar fumbled. "There is another part that Steve translated. A part I'm reluctant to reveil simply because I don't know what's going to happen to any of us. We may all be dead tomorrow, we might win, the scroll didn't say."

"And why is that, future man? How can I accept anything that you've told me if you won't tell me everything?" Xena demanded.

"The other part that Steve made out was personal. And history can't be changed," Questar said grimly. "Oh, I've tried a few times. I've failed to save good men. I've been unable to prevent disasters. In my own time, I can stop evil men, when I travel in time I can't. Dahak is from my time, at least the one we're going to fight is. The one in your time is still imprisoned and thereby neutralized. It can get very confusing without a scorecard."

"And what could be so personal that you feel you need to hide it?" Xena sternly asked.

"It's about Mace and Gabrielle," Questar answered. "It's also about you and me."

"I must know, for the sake of Gabrielle. If there is any way to keep her safe I must know," Xena said.

"I don't know how safe she'll be. Mace and Gabrielle get married," Questar grinned.

"What? That's wonderful! Anyone can see that they love each other," Xena perked up at the possible good news.

"She could be a widow by tomorrow night. And so could you," Questar dropped the other shoe," Dahak is extremely powerful. At best, our chance of beating him is 3-1 in his favor. But, I have to try, and so does Max. This is what we do. Even if it costs me my own life I will rid the world of the Dahak."

Questar's words penetrated the depths of Xena's soul. Questar and Mace were actually prepared to die just for a chance to defeat a terrible evil. Xena felt a strange stirring in her heart. Only twice before had she truly felt this way; Marcus, her first love and Hercules, who had redeemed her heart. Yet even the fire she had felt for those two men was like a candle compared to a volcano that this future man aroused in her.

"Gabrielle must be getting worried about us," Xena nervously said.

Questar leaned forward and gently cupped her face with his strong, but gentle hands.

"She's in no danger my warrior princess," Questar softly said as he gently kissed Xena's lips.

Back at the camp Mace had opened up the cooler and taken out two diet Dr. Ppprs. Mace handed one to Gabrielle and showed her how to open it. Gabrielle thought that she kind of liked this strange drink.

"Not bad, what is it?" Gabrielle smiled.

"Diet soft drink," Mace returned her smile.

"Diet? That's for overweight people, not for men who look as good as you do. Uh, I mean," Gabrielle fumbled. Stupid, stupid, stupid! was Gabrielle's thought.

"I've got to keep my girlish figure," Mace said in an eunich's lisp while striking a muscle pose.

Gabrielle totally lost it as she burst out laughing. Mace had timed it so that she wouldn't be taking a drink and choke. Mace was merciless, every time Gabrielle tried to gain control of herself Mace would strike another pose and make 'thilly queen' cracks. Questar and Mace weren't bigots, but they didn't believe in PC bullshit either.

Finally Mace stopped before she hurt herself. Mace loved hearing Gabrielle laugh. She's been hurt so many times, by Callisto, Hope, even Perdicus and Xena, Mace thought. Gabrielle was happier than she had been in a long time. But still, even with Mace, there was still the fear. The fear that she would lose him.

Every man that Gabrielle had ever loved or strongly liked ended up dead. The only man who managed to stay alive around her was one she wished would just leave her alone. That buffoon Joxer had more lives than a cat. Why can't he find a nice she-demon and stop bothering me? Gabrielle thought.

Mace pulled out a something that looked like the books Gabrielle had seen in the east. Mace had a silly evil grin on his face.

"Questar would kill me if he knew I brought this," Mace said. "Where I come from we have a uh, magic box that makes very life like paintings called photographs. I brought this to prove I really am from the future and to show you a little bit of where I live."

Gabrielle was stunned by the realism of the 'paintings.' Mace hoped to tell her about cameras someday. The first picture showed Questar and Mace on each side of an older man in an unusual blue uniform. The next picture showed them on either side of a fiftyish plump blond woman. The woman still retained some evidence of once having been a great beauty. In the third picture, all 4 were side by side. Gabrielle noticed the subtle hand holding between the older man and the woman. They were still very much in love.

"Your parents?" Gabrielle asked noting the resemblances.

"Yes. Dad's now the police commissioner. Questar's more like him I guess. Except for my size and build I think I'm more like mom," Mace said.

Turning the page was an older colorless picture of a naked baby on a rug with the word 'Max' written at the top. Mace quickly tried to turn the page, blushing, but Gabrielle stopped him.

"Let me see that. Oh, how cute. That's you right? It has to be or you wouldn't be so embarrassed," Gabrielle giggled.

"Please turn the page," Mace nervously said, wondering how that picture had gotten in there," Ah, that's more like it."

The picture was funny, but it puzzled Gabrielle. A much younger Questar, about 18, was in back of an 8 year old blond boy, that looked like Mace. On the right of Questar was another man who looked almost exactly like Mace did now except that he was oriental. In front of him, next to Mace was a big dog. Questar had 2 fingers behind the head of the oriental man, who had 2 fingers behind the head of the boy, who had 2 fingers behind the head of the dog. All 4 had huge bones in their mouths.

"Huh? I don't understand," Gabrielle said.

"There's Questar, that's Dragon, me and the dog was named Blue," Mace smiled remembering," Blue was a police dog until he got too old. Dragon adopted him. Unfortunately poor Blue died in his sleep shortly after this picture was made."

"Not that. How can this be? This man looks like you," Gabrielle said.

"You think so? That's China Dragon, not me. Mom once said the same thing. She also said something weird once. She said that Dragon reminded her of her late sister," Mace said. "But of course I never met my aunt so I never did understand that. Here's one of Questar, Dragon and poor Billy Ray. Man, what the Chaos Lords did to him."

In this picture Questar, Dragon and a light skinned black man were wearing huge multi colored wigs that Mace told her were called 'fake afros'. All three had silly looks and body positions. Gabrielle had to smile.

"Those three were inseperable. I was just a tag-along nuisance to them back then," Mace sighed. "Questar tried to keep me out of G.O.L.D. after my powers kicked in because he didn't want to see me get hurt. I had to really prove myself to get in."

Mace turned the page and was shocked at the picture that greeted him. During a trip to Japan a year ago, a group of pretty teenage Japanese super-heroines had formed a Mace fan club. This picture was 12 of them, naked except for masks, gloves, and boots, holding up pictures and signs of Mace. Mace quickly snatched up the book and quickly leafed through all the rest of the pages. Page after page was of him in embarrassing situations. These weren't the pictures he'd picked out!

On the last page was the answer. Enjoy the pictures, little brother was written on it. Questar! His brother had known he was going to try this and had switched books.

"Aaaaaarrrrrgggg!! Questar! You tricked me again! He's always one step ahead of me," Mace sighed calming down.

"Hey, it's okay," Gabrielle said," It's natural for siblings to play pranks on each other. Especially for an older one. He does love you doesn't he?"

"Yeah, but I guess maybe I am just a little bit jealous and envious," Mace said, comforted. "He's always been stronger, smarter, and sneakier than I am. Questar just seems to always ride in on the white horse, save the day, and get the girl."

"Not this girl," Gabrielle softly said, liking Mace even more.

"Gabrielle, I-I love you," Mace stumbled.

"Oh, Mace," Gabrielle sighed happily.

"Gabrielle, no secrets, my name, my real name is Max, Max Starr," Mace continued. "I never really liked it much, so I go by my code-name Mace usually."

"Max, I like it," Gabrielle smiled.

"Gabrielle, I have to show you something I wasn't supposed to. Questar told me not to reviel this until he thought you were ready," Mace said. "I can't do it. You must know who and what I am. Please, please don't scream."

Gabrielle was saddened, her happy smile vanished. Gabrielle had flipped for Mace completely and now he was going to try to molest her. Gabrielle gripped her staff tightly, preparing to fight and scream. But Mace pointed his hand at the pile of firewood. Fire seemed to shoot from his fingertips igniting the wood instantly.

That was it! That's what he wanted to show her! Gabrielle sighed in relief as Mace leaned back and opened up another can of Dr. Pppr. Mace had no intention of doing anything bad to her. Gabrielle smiled at the grinning Mace. Then Gabrielle thought about what he had just done and her eyes grew wide. Stunned, as that realization hit her, Gabrielle slowly stood up, and screamed!

Questar and Xena had kissed twice when they heard Gabrielle's scream. Questar thought Dahak goon or a monster, Xena thought Mace. Rounding the corner of the shelter, Questar burst out laughing when he saw the fire and his embarrised little brother. Xena advanced on the sheepish looking Mace until Gabrielle stepped in front of her to shield him.

"It's not what you think, Xena! He didn't do anything to me. I just overreacted to something he showed me," Gabrielle quickly said.

"I'll just bet," Xena sternly said, wondering if the brothers shared THAT in common.

"Uh, I mean, he showed me something he could do," Gabrielle continued," He's been a perfect gentleman."

"And what could he show you to make you scream like that?" Xena demanded.

"Probably this," Questar laughed, pointing to a tree.

Flames leaped from his fingers instantly incinerating the tree.

"We're a big hit at barbecues," Questar smiled. "I told the little show-off to wait until we could show you our powers without you thinking we're evil wizards or something like that. Our powers are based on science and the accident of birth."

"Yes, you did say you had powers, but I never dreamed that...." Xena trailed off.

"Then why didn't we just fry those Dahak troops? We're lawmen, warriors, not killers. Killing's the easy way," Questar said. "It takes no skill to kill someone. I'm not afraid of it, I will if I have to, but if I ever start liking it, well, then I'll be no different than Dahak, Sakahuru, Prof. Death, and all the other scum I take down."

Whatever ponts the brothers had lost were given back by Xena and Gabrielle.

"Hey, I'm starving!" Gabrielle said, easing the mood. "You got anything to eat?"

"As a matter of fact, dinner's on us. Figuratively of course," Mace smiled, remembering the Xena story about the magic scroll that Aphrodite had enchanted that caused everything Gabrielle wrote to happen.

Mace passed out sodas while Questar dug out packages ofthings he called 'hot dogs' and 'marshmallows'. Questar passed out 4 wooden handled pronged metal rods and showed Xena how to use them.

"Don't ask what they're made of, we don't know, we don't want to know," Questar said. "You'll love them."

Mace showed Gabrielle how to use hers, their hands were touching too much. Gabrielle's fear of him was already gone. True to their word, Xena and Gabrielle found that they did like hot dogs, especially since Mace told them that were definately not made of dogs.

Then came the marshmallows. Gabrielle was practically in Mace's lap by now. Gabrielle loved the gooey mess and giggled as Mace licked her fingers clean. Xena smiled knowingly, but thought about breaking it up when Questar hit her in the head with a thrown marshmallow. Smiling she turned as he hit her with a second marshmallow. After the third marshmallow, Xena threw one back at him. A bizarre marshmallow fight broke out until all 4 of them were laughing like children.

Questar and Mace then puled out strange lookng lutes they called guitars. Both men had good voices. They played and sang 'stone ballads'? from an eagle, a skinner named Leo-Nard, a seeker named Bob, and a few others. Xena and Gabrielle's favorite though was the last song. Mace picked up an odd looking silver flute and Questar sang about a group of noble paladins, the 'Knights in White Satin.'

Xena and Gabrielle were not going to be outdone. Showing the men a rhythm to drum out on the backs of their lutes, Xena and Gabrielle showed the men an amazon dance. Both future men found this highly erotic. Xena noticed the bulges in their pants. Apparently Mace did share that trait with his brother, though not quite Questar's equal.

"Centaur blood," Xena breathed so softly that only Gabrielle could hear.

"What are you talking about?." Gabrielle whispered back.

"Never mind. I think you'll find out soon enough," Xena smiled as she whispered, noting the way that Gabrielle and Mace looked at each other.

He's a good young man, Xena thought, the kind of man that Gabrielle deserves. Mace would never beat her or abuse her. The fact that he would be harder to kill than any man Gabrielle had ever liked was another plus. If any of us live through tomorrow that is, Xena thought.

Questar and Mace cleaned up the camp and carried the trash out to burn it so they wouldn't take a chance of upsetting the women again. Gabrielle lay on her back counting the still early evening stars. Xena lay on her sde, watching how at peace the little bard was.

"He's wonderful," Gabrielle said dreamily. "I think I'm slightly older than he is, maybe a year. But that's not enough to make a differnce. What about you?"

"What about me?" Xena smiled.

"You knowwww. Questarrrr," Gabrielle giggled.

"He's a fascinating man," Xena said. "He has lost one brother, gained another back, and leads a war. I never thought that there could be another man like Hercules, but Questar seems to be that man. And besides, he's about a year older than me. Not enough to make a difference."

Both women laughed as Mace returned alone.

"Questar's back at that spring trying to make hisself purty," Mace said the last part in exaggerated hillbilly making the 2 women laugh again.

"I uh, need to check on Argo," Xena lied.

THE END

(Chapter 3)

Ducking out of sight, Xena did a quick check on Argo. Xena took a blanket and slipped off to the small spring. Hidden by a small stand of bushes Xena removed her armor and leather outfit as she watched Questar. Questar was nude and was going through a complex, and very acrobatic, martial arts kata.

His steel hard wiry muscles made Questar look like a dark haired Adonis, without the vanity. Questar looked like he was chiseled from the finest marble. But his manhood was far greater than that of any statue. How does he fight with that thing? Xena thought. I'm surprised he can even walk.

Questar worked up a light sweat then stepped into the shallow spring. At its deepest point the spring was only chest high on 6' 6" frame. Still, that was enough to float so he lazily drifted onto his back. The memory of the amazon dance came back to Questar giving him an erection.

Zeus! He's even bigger than I thought! He has to have centaur blood, Xena thought, becoming aroused. Unlike Gabrielle, Xena did not fall in love easily. Somehow, deep inside, Xena knew that, crazy or not, she did love this strange future man she'd just met. Questar had all the good qualities of Hercules, Marcus, Draco, Autolycus, and Caesar, but with none of their bad qualities. This future man would never care about her bloody past and, if they survived the coming battle, could give her a future on her own terms.

Xena made her decision. Wearing only the blanket Xena stepped out into the bright moonlight. A moon only one day from being full.

"Mind some company, future man?" Xena purred, stepping out of the blanket.

Xena spread the blanket out as Questar slowly stepped out of the water, smiling. Zeus, he's huge, Xena thought, both aroused and, uncharacteristically, slightly intimidated. I thought Hercules was big, but even he couldn't match this. Questar knew that most women were afraid of his size. At over 12" long, and better than 3" diameter, Questar also had a secret power. He could stay hard as long as he wanted to.

On top of that Questar was also highly skilled in oriental lovemaking techniques. There was a joke about Questar among the many super heroines that Questar had great power, he was also a very tough and capable super hero. Because many of his lovers were tiny oriental girls, Questar also had developed great control.

Questar was just as impressed with Xena's body. How does she fight with breasts that big? Questar thought. Questar looked at Xena's hard, firm, yet highly feminine body. Her breasts were at least a 38DD, full and high. Xena's washboard stomach was flat and without flaw. Questar couldn't even see even the slightest evidence of Xena having once given birth to her unfortunate son Solon, nor any evidence of known wounds. There was not even any sign of her knees having once been broken by Caesar.

Then Questar remembered that Xena had once eaten a tiny bit of ambrosia when she had hovered between life and death, scroll #37, if he remembered right. Further down, Questar saw that Xena shaved her mound completely hairless. Most of the heroine's and female martial artists he knew did that, and in fact Questar preferred it because it also made women more sensitive. Xena's legs were long and gymnastically muscled, her buttocks were as tight as a drum.

Embracing they kissed, lightly at first, then harder as their passion grew. Their tongues dueled hungrily as Questar skillfully caressed her, going from buttocks to breasts, then lightly touching her mound, already growing moist. Questar gently broke from her lips, kissing down Xena's neck before returning to her lips. Xena gave out a low moan of pleasure.

Questar and Xena sank to their knees. Questar kissed down her neck again, this time going to her breasts. Xena's nipples were aroused under his mouth, as he suckled each one in turn. Questar ran his tongue over her entire breast before returning to her nipple, all the while his hands caressed Xena's buttocks.

Xena ran her fingers through his long hair as Questar kissed and licked all the way back to her mouth, causing Xena to pant from excitement. A third time Questar kissed down, his hands kneading her large breasts, first softly, then harder. Trapping Xena's nipples in his strong hands he vigorously pinched and pulled them in a manner that caused no pain.

Xena could not believe how good he was. No man had ever given her such pleasure in her breasts. All the men she'd known before would only play with them a little and maybe give a few token licks. Questar was actually making love to her tits! His mouth was on her nipples again sucking them. As his mouth left each of her nipples Xena saw that her nipples were almost double arousal size as she experienced a small orgasm.

I don't believe it, Xena thought as she moaned. He made me cum from my tits! Questar was merciless as he laid her on her back. His lips were on hers again, his hands kneading her sensitive breasts. The now familiar process began for the fourth time as Questar kissed and licked downwards. Stopping briefly at her breasts, Questar's mouth continued downwards.

Questar's tongue traced around her belly button before jabbing inside a few times. All Xena could do was writhe in ecstasy as Questar took charge of her completely. Questar's mouth was almost to her her mound, when he shifted targets and began licking her feet. Questar licked up her soles before sucking her toes. A new pleasure gripped Xena.

No man or demi-god had ever taken Xena so completely. I love it, Xena thought dreamily. Questar licked up one leg to her inner thigh, then attacked the other. The agony and ecstasy of waiting was driving Xena mad. At last Questar reached her mound, and this time jabbed her excited clit with his tongue repeatedly.

With a cry of raw pleasure, Xena was sent into an intense orgasm. Still Questar had no pity on her as he sucked her clit before licking up and down her nether lips. Not stopping there, Questar raised her buttocks off the blanket spreading her wide. Xena had no resistance as Questar attacked her anus with his tongue. Not even Hercules had ever done that!

No more! No more! I can't take any more, a part of Xena's mind thought, while another part thought, Yes! Yes! More! More! Foreplay was virtually unknown in B.C. Greece, except for lesbians. Questar was a master of it. Questar's tongue traced all around Xena's anus before darting into her asshole. Questar tongue fucked her ass giving Xena another small orgasm.

Xena had no time to recover as Questar resumed licking her pussy once more. Questar's flashing tongue brought Xena close to another orgasm. Teasing, Questar backed off until Xena whimpered in frustration. Taking pity on her, Questar licked and sucked Xena to a shuddering climax, Xena tasted herself as Questar kissed her lips again.

"Now, it's my turn, future man,' Xena gasped.

Xena's probing fingers found Questar's rock hard manhood. Now it was Xena who kissed downward as Questar maneuvered them into a 69 side by side position. It was also Questar's turn to moan, as Xena used a deep throat technique she'd learned from a Persian sword swallower, taking almost his full length into her mouth. Xena then licked up and down the long shaft, tonguing the head before taking it down her throat again.

For several minutes each gave as good as they got until Questar and Xena both cried out in mutual climax. That was another new experience for Xena as she had only read about that happening. Xena was unable to swallow Questar's load because, to her surprise, he was still rock hard!

"Zeus! You do have centaur blood," Xena said amazed.

Questar smiled and laid her back. Xena knew what was next and gritted her teeth in both fear and anticipation. Questar slowly and carefully eased his penis into her, first just the head, then inch by inch until his full size was in her. Instead of pain, Xena felt only pleasure. I've known virgins who weren't this tight, Questar thought.

Questar was fully impaling the warrior princess now, then began a series of side to side and rotating maneuvers that had Xena crying out in ecstasy. Xena felt another climax approaching. Questar also could no longer hold back. For a second time their climax was mutual. Xena was mad with lust as she pushed Questar onto his back and mounted herself on his still hard manhood. Somewhere, in the back of her mind, Xena vowed to sacrifice an entire flock of sheep to Aphrodite for giving her this fantastic future man.

"Screw the sheep, let me have an hour with the stud," Aphrodite thought aloud as she furiously masturbated and secretly spied on them from Olympus.

Xena rode Questar's penis as he drove it into her. Questar firmly kneaded Xena's big tits exciting her even more. With a primal scream Xena had her most intense orgasm yet as Questar flooded her insides. Xena gasped as she saw that Questar was still fully erect.

"Centaur blood! It has to be centaur blood," Xena panted.

It was then that Xena knew she wanted something even more. Xena wanted the ultimate experience. Something she had never tried with anybody. Half mad with excitement Xena got on her hands and knees, offering her ass to Questar.

"Sodomize me! I offer you my only virginity," Xena begged.

As tight as she was vaginally Questar knew that Xena would be at least 5 times tighter anally. Questar began preparing her, first by licking her anus. Questar's manhood was already well lubricated, all that remained was to use his fingers and slowly open her, bringing up their mutual fluids into her anus.

Once more Questar's skill paid off as he slowly worked his large penis into Xena's virgin asshole. Xena expected agonizing pain, only to receive pleasure. As Xena relaxed Questar was able to get more of his manhood into her. Xena gasped in pleasure as Questar managed to get all of his big cock into her tight asshole. Oh, Aphrodite! Even this feels good with him, Xena thought lustfully.

Questar brought Xena to another climax, staying in her anally for several more minutes before flooding her bowels and giving Xena yet another orgasm. Xena was amazed that Questar was still hard even after that. As for Questar, he was also amazed at finding a woman who could stand up to the sexual prowess he possessed. Xena looked at him with both love and lust.

"Ready for another round, future man," Xena smiled.

"Let's rock," Questar grinned.

Aphrodite was not the only voyeur this night. Hidden in the bushes was Gabrielle, who had witnessed everything. Questar and Xena were going into another position as Gabrielle watched. Gabrielle had followed Xena, curious about her odd behavior. Gabrielle had never known that sex could be like that. So erotic, so beautiful.

Gabrielle's only experience with a man had been with her husband of one day Perdicus. The experience had been extremely unpleasant. Perdicus had rammed his 4" long, pinkie thin penis into her, pumped her 5 times, then shot a few drops of semen on her stomach before rolling over and going to sleep. Gabrielle was thankful that her hymen had been broken during training with Xena so that she hadn't had to go through that.

But this, this was different. Gabrielle's nipples felt so hard she feared that her nipples would rip right through her top. Gabrielle's vagina, shaved completely hairless like Xena's felt so wet it was like she had poured water down her pants. Only the fear of getting caught kept Gabrielle from playing with herself.

I'd better get back before Max starts to get worried about me, Gabrielle thought. Stealing back to camp, what Gabrielle saw there excited her even more than watching Questar and Xena make love. Silhouetted against the almost full moon, firelight dancing across his rippled body, was a shirtless, barefoot Mace. Like his brother, Mace believed in doing acrobatic katas when alone. A light film of sweat on his body gave him an oiled look that Gabrielle thought looked even hotter.

Gabrielle's heart fluttered at the sight of him. Gabrielle thought that Mace was the handsomer of the brothers. Questar had a certain hardness that came from being a leader. Mace saw Gabrielle and smiled. Unfortunately he was in mid-air doing a complex gymnastic flip. Mace landed hard on his ass. Gabrielle could not suppress a giggle as Mace sheepishly kipped up and dusted himself off.

Their eyes locked as they smiled at each other. They were truly in love with each other.

Oh boy, time for little miss innocence to get hers, Aphrodite thought as she continued to masturbate. Wait till she sees the salami on this kid. It runs in the family.

For several minutes Mace and Gabrielle just looked at each other. Gabrielle removed her top, exposing her pretty breasts.

Gabrielle's pert breasts were average sized and well formed, topped with erect pink nipples. Gabrielle began undoing her skirt as Mace stepped out of his pants. For a brief moment Gabrielle was afraid of Mace again as she saw his manhood. Gabrielle now knew what Xena had meant by 'centaur blood.' Mace was less than his brother having a length of 10 1/2" and a diameter of 2 3/4."

Gabrielle clutched her clothes to her chest during this moment. Only once removed from virginity and Mace was more than twice Perdicus. But then Mace smiled at her and her fears vanished. Mace would never hurt her. Gabrielle's clothes fell forgotten to the ground.

Mace embraced the trembling blond bard, tenderly kissing her lips. Gabrielle smelled of honey and wild flowers exciting him. Mace was far more experienced than Gabrielle, usually with tiny teenage Asian super heroines who also worried about his size, at first. The kisses of Mace slowly became harder as Gabrielle began to respond. Lips parted as tongues sought each other.

"You are so beautiful," Mace whispered as he stroked her hair.

With a quick move Mace scooped the little bard up in his strong arms and carried her over to his spread blankets, never once surrendering their kiss. Tenderly Mace laid Gabrielle down on the blankets. Kissing down her neck, Mace gently kneaded Gabrielle's pink topped breasts. Gabrielle was already moaning in pleasure.

The lips of Mace attacked Gabrielle's breasts now with licks, tiny bites, and sucking. Just as his brother had with Xena, Mace brought Gabrielle's nipples to double their normal arousal size. The first orgasm Gabrielle ever had from a man swept through her. Mace softly stoked her hair as he kissed her. Gabrielle was glowing inside. She would never fear Mace again. Mace would make her a woman at last.

Kissing downward, his mouth suckled her nipples, going from one to the other. Gabrielle was close to another breast induced orgasm, but Mace then ran his tongue lower. Down went the talented mouth and tongue of the young hero. Gabrielle gasped as Mace raised her buttocks exposing all of her to him. Gabrielle cried out in pleasure as Mace licked her from clit to anus. Gabrielle then gasped as Mace brought her to orgasm. Still Mace continued his attack on her quivering mound until the little bard exploded into her first multiple orgasm.

She's so beautiful, Mace thought. Mace was tender as he prepared Gabrielle for penetration. Cupping her mound in his hand he teased her clit with his tongue. Gabrielle's moans signaled that she was ready. His experience with small Asian girls came into play as Mace slowly inserted the head of his penis into Gabrielle's virgin tight mound.

Inch by inch, Mace impaled Gabby on his huge manhood. Mace was careful to wait as Gabrielle slowly became accustomed to his size. Finally, he penetrated Gabrielle fully. Gabrielle had never felt such pleasure as the huge organ filled her completely. There was no pain despite his size and her near virginity. The fact that they truly loved each other made the pleasure greater.

Mace varied hs thrusts, slow, then fast, then in a rotating motion, and back to slow. Gabrielle as brought to the brink of orgasm, then with cries of joy, Mace completed her as his own climax flooded her insides. Gabrielle had never known that sex could be like this. As she lay panting Gabrielle saw that Mace shared all of his brothers abilities, as Mace was still fully erect.

As Mace kissed her deeply, Gabrielle knew that she wanted to experience everything. Gabrielle wanted to be a complete woman for the most wonderful man she'd ever known.

"Are you all right, Gabrielle? I didn't hurt you, did I?" Mace asked.

"Oh Mace," Gabrielle cried, clinging to him fiercely, afraid that this wonderful young future man would disappear.

The young lovers kissed each other passionately. Gabrielle broke the kiss.

"Mace, please, please make me a complete woman. I want you to take my last virginity," Gabrielle whispered lovingly. "Take me, take me in my ass!"

"Gabrielle, are you sure? I can't promise you it won't hurt," Mace softly said.

"I want you to make me a complete woman," Gabrielle replied. "I gladly choose the pain."

Mace couldn't bear to cause his true love any pain. Then his eyes fell upon Questar's backpack and Mace remembered that his brother had packed some popcorn an 2 bottles of W*ss%n oil. Mace used his telekinetic power behind Gabrielle's back. The bottles flew to his hands.

Mace licked and tongue-fucked Gabrielle's asshole as he lubed up his big cock. Gabrielle didn't really know what he was doing, but she was loving it. Mace poured oil all around her anal cavity, then with lubed fingers, gently spread her anus, spraying oil into her. Inserting a finger into her ass, Mace finger fucked Gabby or a few seconds, causing her to squeal in pleasure.

Mace spread her as much as he dared and poured half the bottle inside her sphincter. Gabrielle cried out in joy again at this odd new sensation. At last Mace was ready. Gabrielle expected Mace to turn her over and was surprised when he raised her hips and spread her legs higher. Being inexperienced Gabrielle hadn't known about this position for anal sex.

Mace managed to get the head of his penis inside of her. Just as he had previously done with the bards vagina, Mace slowly worked his manhood into her as she became accustomed to his size. After 10 minutes Mace succeeded in full penetration. Gabrielle couldn't believe how good that even this felt. Gabrielle loved how Mace filled her completely.

Not once had her remarkable future man hurt her. Instead Mace was giving her pleasure far beyond her wildest fantasies. With long strokes Mace sent Gabrielle to a shuddering climax as he shot his seed into her. Gabrielle's eyes glazed over with madness as she looked down and saw that Mace was still rock hard. Pushing Mace down Gabrielle climbed on top and impaled herself on his manhood.

In Olympus, Aphrodite was frigging herself senseless, a Questar sized dildo in her pussy, a Mace sized dildo in her ass. The goddess couldn't believe what a little slut the bard was becoming with the young hero. With men like these in the future Aphrodite promised herself that she was going to take a vacation in the year 2000.

Mace and Gabrielle made love for hours. Gabrielle lost count of her orgasms after being fucked 15 times in her pussy and 11 times in her ass. And that wasn't even half the times they made love. Finally exhausted they collapsed and slept in each others arms. Hours later Questar and Xena snuck back into camp after hours of their own marathon lovemaking.

Spying the 2 naked young lovers holding each other tightly as they slept they gave each other a loving smile and carefully covered them with a blanket to protect them fro the early morning chill. Questar and Xena laid their own blankets together and then they too slept in each other's arms.

The End - Chapter 3

(Chapter 4)

After the exertions of the night before, it was no surprise that it was nearly noon before the two pairs of lovers were ready to resume their journey to Tarlocus. Mace and Gabrielle had blushed when they had woke up to see Questar and Xena looking at them. Questar laughed and suggested they all go back to the spring to clean up before heading to Tarlocus.

After making sure that Argo was all right they set off. Naked, the four of them had splashed and played in the shallow water. Lots of boy/girl and girl/girl washing and foreplay ensued. Xena and Gabrielle wondered what a foursome would be like. Unfortunately they had no time to find out.

Three hours later the four of them arrived in Tarlocus. Mace and Gabrielle had walked the entire way hand in hand gazing into each other's eyes. Older and more reserved, but with the same feelings, the hands of Questar and Xena kept 'accidentally' touching. Tarlocus was prosperous, but not overly large. The city walls were crumbling, and the heavy oak gates were long gone, leaving only rusted hinges.

Questar used a 'generic' faceless gold coin that he had to pay for a stable stall and extra grooming and feed for Argo. Questar and Mace carried a small fortune in such coins during time trips because they were accepted everywhere in all time periods. This also saved the time and expense of forging coins of various countries in their own time. Questar and Mace also left their spatial backpacks there so that they could move around the city easier.

"Aren't you worried that someone might try to steal those?" Gabrielle asked.

"Those backpacks weigh nearly a ton each with an electrical booby trap that has to be disarmed telekinetically," Questar smiled. "Anyone that tries it will be in for a shocking experience."

"So, we're here," Xena said. "Now what?"

"S.O.P. plan beta," Questar said," It means standard operating procedure plan beta. That's a fancy way of saying split up and search, meet back here in one hour."

"We have lots of codes like that," Mace said.

Questar pulled out a silver looking coin. On one side was the face of an old man with long hair tied back like a woman's, the other side was an eagle.

"Heads is right, tails is left. Call it, Max," Questar said as he flipped the coin.

"Tails," Mace said.

"Tails it is. Choose your part - never mind. Just try to keep your mind on the mission and your hands off each other," Questar said. "If we survive this there will be lots of time for sex games."

The young lovers went off to the left, their hands on each others butts. So lost in each other were they that Questar threw up his hands in a 'why bother' gesture. Xena smiled at his frustration. Xena knew that Questar was a good leader. Questar was a fighter and a thinker. A dangerous combination to have as an enemy, a valuable asset as a friend.

Xena and Gabrielle had been to Tarlocus many times and knew the area well. The 4 of them had seen no sign of anything in the surrounding area that was unusual. That meant that the city itself held the key to Dahak's location. Everything from the scroll to Dahak's own men seemed to confirm that.

Tarlocus was not that big however, and after only 35 minutes Questar and Xena had covered more than half the city with no results. Even talking to several people, from beggars to nobles yielded no clues. Xena smiled as she saw an outdoor pub called 'Blitta's'. Blitta was an old friend and if anyone knew local gossip it would be her.

"Blitta! Over here!" Xena called.

A plump middle-aged woman with a care-worn face from many years of a hard life looked up. Seeing Xena she immediately brightened up. Her broad honest smile took 10 years off her.

"Xena! Xena!" Blitta cried, running up and embracing the warrior princess.

After a fierce bear hug, Blitta held Xena at arms length.

"Oh Xena, it's so good to see you," Blitta happily cried, then she saw Questar. "Xena, who's the stud? Did you trade blondie in for him? He's a big one that's for sure. Is he big everywhere?"

"Blitta, this is Questar. He's a man of many talents," Xena laughed," He has centaur blood."

Xena held her hands apart a foot as Questar blushed. Blitta happily clapped her hands.

"Lucidia! Get you fat ass over here and get my friends something to drink," Blitta yelled at a fat, whore looking, barmaid. "First round's on me."

"Where's your daughter Livia?" Xena asked, as she and Questar sat down on benches at a rough looking table," I don't see her today and she's always working here."

"Livia's gone Xena," Blitta sadly said, her face lost its sparkle.

"Gone? Is she dead? Did she run away? If she was murdered I swear, I'll cut out the heart of whoever is responsible," Xena swore.

"That's just it, nobody knows what happened to her and the others. The man who was running it was very secretive," Blitta said.

"Others? We've talked to several people and heard nothing about young girls disappearing," Xena said.

"Someone running what exactly?" Questar asked smelling a very large chaotic rat.

"The girls, all of them just vanished," Blitta said, the pain making tears well up.

"I'm sorry for your loss Blitta, but please, start at the beginning. It could be very important," Questar said, carefully choosing his words. "There is a chance that your daughter is still alive."

Questar's words seemed to comfort Blitta.

"Trust me on this. If the person behind her disappearance is who I think it is, there's still a chance to save her," Questar continued.

"About a month ago, this stranger came to Tarlocus. He sought out pretty girls, promising them riches if they participated in something called a beauty pageant. He gave each girl 10 gold pieces, ordering them not to tell anyone," Blitta said.

"This man, was he named Salmoneus? Grey peppered hair and beard, heavyset, smooth talker?" Xena asked, remembering her role as Miss Amphipolis.

"No," Blitta shook her head," No one one ever knew his name. He was a young man, a short thin Persian. He gathered 20 of the prettiest girls in town, including Livia, making them agree to meet in secret. I think Livia wanted to win because things have been so bad lately. I only found out about it by accident when I saw her sneaking out the night before they all vanished. At first I thought it might be a secret lover, so I followed her. I peeked into the building she went into, a deserted warehouse. I saw all of the girls dressed in tiny outfits, practicing dancing, walking, singing and other things."

"What happened next?" Xena asked.

"I confronted Livia when she got home, but well, she cried, and begged me not to be angry," Blitta continued, "She even got me to promise not to interfere. The next night they all vanished. The Persian was found dead with a slit throat the next morning. No one except me even noticed the girls were missing because as it turned out, except for Livia they were all orphans."

"And no one would listen to you," Questar finished. "S.o.p. Chaos Lords #1. Blitta, if your daughter is still alive, and I believe she is, we'll find her. If I can't save her, I'll do my best to avenge her."

Blitta hugged Questar so hard he thought he was being squeezed by the Hulk. With some hope restored Blitta got back some of her spirit.

"That's one hell of a man you've got there, Xena," Blitta whispered in Xena's ear. "You'd better marry him fast."

Blitta moved away to tend to other business.

"Are you sure about what you said?" Xena asked concerned.

"I haven't faced Dahak, but I've been fighting Chaos Lords for 6 years," Questar said. "They never make any sacrifice without a full moon."

"And tonight's the full moon," Xena noted.

"He's here somewhere, Xena. I can feel him," Questar said.

At that time, an old crone, flanked by 2 huge bodyguards, nearly as big as Questar, waddled over. The old crone and her guards were dressed in a 'gypsy' style, obviously wealthy by the amount of gold, jewels, and silk they wore. The old woman was locally thought to be a witch. Her reputation and her guards ensured her safety even in the roughest parts of town.

The old woman was at least 80. Her guards were men in their early 20's. Long curved scimitars and kris daggers hung from their belts. The crone smelled like a sewer. The old woman walked up to Questar and felt his steel muscled arm.

"I'll give you 2000 dinar for him dearie," the crone cackled through broken rotted teeth. "I don't even need to see his stuff."

"Sorry, this one's not for sale," Xena smiled amused.

The old woman's bad breath nearly made Questar ill. I hope Sakahuro, Blaze Bolt, or Prof. Destruction never bottle her breath or we're all doomed, Questar thought.

"Such a pity. A man like this and he's already taken," the crone cackled. "If you ever get tired of him, let me know."

"Not much chance of that, but I'll keep it in mind," Xena said, trying hard not to laugh.

The old woman shuffled off allowing Questar to breathe again.

"So, the fearless Questar is afraid of something after all," Xena laughed.

"More like disgusted actually. What the hell was that all about?" Questar asked.

"The last I was here we were with some amazons from Gabrielle's tribe," Xena smiled. "There are about 20 known tribes of amazons. About 3 renegade tribes keep men as breeding slaves. Most amazon tribes simply adopt orphan girls and keep the girl children from the 10% of bi-sexual and 5 % of amazons that like men to keep their numbers up. They also trade boy children for girls from families that need sons."

"So, that means that 85% of amazons are lesbians? That means that that old woman...." Questar started.

"Is a slaver," Xena finished.

"I forgot that slavery existed in these times," Questar gritted his teeth," Slavery is one of the few things that really piss me off. Thankfully that's one of the things that's almost unknown in my time. There are a few exceptions, but slavery has been almost eradicated where I come from."

"And your country, this America you talked about?" Xena asked, giving him another point for hating slavery. Not that he needed anymore by this point.

"Not for almost 140 years. I never did like the idea of one group of people thinking that they could keep another group of people as slaves just because they have a different skin color or religion. I'm sorry to say that we still have racial and cultural divisions even in my time," Questar said. "I hope someday we'll all grow up."

"No slavery," Xena mused. "Your friends, except for this China Dragon, are they all white?"

"Hardly," Questar laughed, regaining a cheerful mood.

Xena liked hearing about Questar's friends. It was obvious that he had great affection for his team-mates. It also gave Xena insight about who he was.

"G.O.L.D. is proof that people can get along no matter what their race and background. China Dragon is actually half-Chinese, Billy Ray is black, Tara is Atlantian, Mei Wong is also Chinese, Angelique's a gypsy, Tina's Japanese, Arsenal is Chinese/Jewish, Kestrel is an Amerind/Native American, Lady Blue comes from another planet called Mechas 4. Mace and I are the only 'honkys' in the whole group," Questar said. "And to top it off, all the girls are bi-sexual."

"That's some group," Xena said, a little amazed at the diversity.

The waitress/whore finally brought their drinks before going back and flirting with 12 rough looking men at another table. Xena found the insight into Questar's world most enlightening. Questar had long since passed Hercules in points, and the fact that Questar liked women warriors added a few more. Questar was very secure about his own manhood.

Xena was getting thirsty and upending her tankard of ale, downed it in one drink. Not to be outdone, Questar upended his, and choked on the strong ale that was far more potent than the beer he was used to. Xena laughed at Questar's plight, unable to help herself. The thugs at the other table also laughed, rose and walked over, surrounding their table. The obvious leader was a man with a hideously scarred face.

"Hey baby. You should dump the pretty boy and come with some real men," Scarface sneered.

"Maybe the lady prefers pretty boys to eunuchs," Questar replied, fully recovered.

Scarface roared in rage, swinging his heavy sword downward. But Questar was no longer there. Questar had back flipped away from the clumsy swing. A 'rising leopard' punch from Questar made scarface a soprano. Questar's spin kick knocked 4 men down. Another man, a fatso, drew his sword and lunged.

Questar chopped the sword out of fatso's hand, breaking fatso's wrist, then knocked fatso out with a side kick. Xena flipped the table onto the 4 men that Questar had knocked down, jumped off of it and did a split kick that took out 2 men, before landing back on the table trapped goons.

Springing off the table, Xena did a back flip over the heads of 2 thugs. One ran into Questar's back fist and was out like a light. Xena did a back kick to one man, followed by a spinning back fist of her own to finish the man. One goon grinned as he thought he'd caught Questar's kick, only to be knocked into the next week as Questar did a somersault kick on him.

Questar and Xena were natural team-mates as they instinctively knew how to function as a team. Questar bent over so Xena could roll over his back and kick 2 men. Clasping hands, Questar then spun her around to kick out another man while Questar guarded her back with a knee kick to one goons face and an elbow smash that finished off one of the men who had finally gotten free of the table.

In the span of 2 minutes Questar and Xena had completely devastated 12 experienced mercenaries. The few still able to walk drug their comrades off as quick as they could move. Behind Questar and Xena, Blitta was clapping her hands, her smile was back full force.

"Oooooooo! He is a keeper! If I was 20 years younger, Xena, we'd be fighting in the mud," Blitta beamed.

For the first time in weeks Blitta had real hope that she might see her daughter again. Xena looked at Questar and felt her attraction to him growing stronger. Questar truly was the best man she could ever find. Hercules was a good man, but Xena's past would always be between them. Questar had all of Hercules' good qualities and a few more to boot.

"We'd better get back to the gate," Questar ginned. "Mace and Gabrielle are probably waiting for us. Unless they're playing hide the bologna in the stable."

Xena hugged Blitta, and with a 'we'll be back soon' statement Xena and Questar headed back for the gate. As they neared the temple of Aphrodite, with no love spells or arrows from Cupid needed, Questar suddenly seized Xena and passionately kissed her. Xena was surprised yet again, as she liked it and kissed back. Questar suddenly broke the kiss and stepped back.

"I-I'm sorry. No! No dammit I'm not! If loving you is a crime then I'm guilty as hell," Questar stated. "They may as well chop my head off or burn me at the stake right now. Xena, I love you."

"Questar," Xena whispered.

Questar got on one knee and pulled out a small box from his pocket. Before leaving 2000 Questar and Mace had both gotten 5 caret diamond, 24k gold rings just in case the scroll was accurate. Questar had indeed fallen in love with Xena and vice versa.

"Xena, warrior princess, would you do me the honor of becoming my wife?" Questar asked sincerely.

"Yes! Yes!! You just try and stop me, future man," Xena was unused to crying, but tears of joy were forming in her eyes.

Clasping their hands together they ran into the temple of Aphrodite. Hope mom doesn't mind having a pagan in the family, Questar thought. It's hard enough trying to explain Dragon the last year. A Christian who's now a Chinese demi-god.

Almost an hour earlier Mace and Gabrielle had passed this same temple, and unable to wait, had gotten married right then and there. More lost in each other than before, the lovers had nonetheless searched for clues as they covered the other side of town.

At that time the old crone, still flanked by her bodyguards saw them. The old woman had seen Gabrielle - as well as Xena - the last time they'd been in Tarlocus and knew that she was an amazon queen. The old crone waddled up to Mace to feel his steely muscles.

"Amazon Queen, I'll give you 2000 dinar for the stud. He's not quite as big as the other one, but he's younger," the crone cackled.

"Sorry, I just married this stud and I don't think I can wear this one out," Gabrielle laughed, dragging a confused Mace away.

Mace and Gabrielle finished their sweep of the left side of town, finding nothing. As they were heading back, Gabrielle leaned back against a wall and made a 'come here' gesture. Mace obliged and kissed her. The two were locked in a passionate embrace when Joxer rounded the corner and saw them. Angrily Joxer ran up, grabbed Gabrielle's wrist and pulled her away.

"Get your damn hands off my woman knave," Joxer ordered.

"Joxer, let go of me you idiot," Gabrielle said, pulling herself free.

"Gabrielle, do you know this clown?" Mace asked amazed at the man's sheer stupidity.

"Unfortunately, yes," Gabrielle sighed.

"You varlet! Stand away from my true love before I thrash you," Joxer threatened.

Mace had to cover his mouth to keep from laughing. Mace knew 348 ways to kill Joxer with a single blow and 1207 ways with various combinations. Mace was somewhat amused that this buffoon actually thought he had a chance. You and what army? Mace thought.

"Joxer! It's over! I love Mace! We're married," Gabrielle waved her ring in Joxer's face.

"No! No! You sorcerer! You've bewitched her," Joxer cried," Release her from your foul spell or face the wraith of Joxer the mighty. 'Joxer the mighty....."

Mace couldn't believe that Joxer was singing. Gabrielle put a hand over her face.

"Just don't kill the moron," Gabrielle sighed. "I want him to live knowing that he can never have me."

"With Gabby as his sidekick, fighting with her little stick," Joxer sang as he charged with sword drawn.

In one quick motion, using only his right hand, Mace chopped the sword from Joxer's hand and landed a hard 'crane strike' to Joxer's solar plexus. Joxer was doubled over with pain.

"Allow me, darling," Gabrielle said, whacking Joxer out with the end of her staff.

Mace used telekinesis to depant the fool and to hang Joxer upside down from the rafters at the temple of Dionysus. Gabrielle burst out laughing. Joxer was even more pathetic than she'd thought. Even though he was unconscious Joxer had an erection. Joxer, fully erect was 2" long and as thick as Gabrielle's pinkie.

"What a loser," Gabrielle sighed.

"Gabrielle, we have to talk. If we survive I have to return to the future. My family, my friends, everything I love is there except for you," Mace seriously said," Gabrielle, I'm needed more there. It's a far more dangerous world than here despite all our technology and progress. But Gabrielle, there are good things too. More books than you ever dreamed possible. You can be a bard there beyond anything you could ever dream of here. Because of a strange phenomenon of the time stream we'll never grow older than 30. Best of all there's no Joxer. If you stay here I don't know what will happen to you, but I know I won't want to live without you. Come with me Gabrielle. Come with me and I can show you a world beyond any that you've ever dreamed of."

"No Joxer? To Tartarus with place, I'm coming with you," Gabrielle joked, then grew serious. "Please live Max Starr. If you die, I die with you."

The young lovers embraced. For several minutes they were no longer heroic sidekicks, but simply 2 people in love. Finally they pulled apart and started walking back towards the gate, hands clutched tightly for fear of losing each other. As Mace and Gabrielle reached the temple of Aphrodite, Questar and Xena were just leaving, having just said they're vows. Mace totally lost it as he cracked up.

"I don't believe it!," Mace laughed," I finally beat you at something! We've been married for almost an hour! What the hell took you so long?"

Xena and Gabrielle beamed and embraced each other. In the span of 24 hours they had met and married 2 fantastic wonderful men who loved them completely and without hesitation. The 4 compared notes, but they were missing something. There seemed to be no clue beyond the missing girls. A search of the warehouse where Livia and the others vanished yielded nothing as well.

There were no hidden walls, hidden basement or anything. It was now 6:00 PM, an hour and a half before sunset. Another half hour until the full moon. Chaos Lords were somewhat predictable. Chaos Lords liked to wait until midnight before making a sacrifice, but on more than one occasion they had been unable to contain their foul evil lusts once the full moon was out.

Think, Questar, think. There has to be something we've missed, Questar thought. But where haven't we looked in this seaport.

"Seaport! That's it! There's one place we haven't looked," Questar said. "Underwater! But where? And how? Xena, let's go back and see your friend Blitta again. Her bar is right off the docks, and maybe she can remember something else that we missed earlier. It's a long shot, but that's the only lead we've got."

The 4 adventurer's headed back to Blitta's. The site that greeted them pissed them off. Blitta's pub was being smashed to pieces. Lucidia, the barmaid/whore was dead, her throat slashed open. Two soldiers, wearing the uniforms of Dahak 'Elite Guards' were terrorizing Blitta, aided by their 18 Dahak 'regulars.'

With a scream of rage, Xena hurled herself at the 20 soldiers with sword drawn. Xena killed 4 of them before the fanatic scum realized they were being attacked. Questar kicked right and left, taking 2 men out of the fight. Gabrielle swung her staff catching one soldier across his temple knocking him out with a concussion. Mace punched out 2 men with quick punches.

"Full force, little brother," Questar ordered, snapping a man's neck.

Xena blocked a sword slash, back kicked another man, then impaled the first man. Xena then spun around slashing a soldier's throat. Questar had 2 men by the neck and with a quick twist killed both. Mace completely smashed a soldiers face, then speared one that was going after Gabrielle with a body tackle, followed by a quick side chop to break the man's neck.

One of the Dahak elite's holding Blitta attempted to stab her when suddenly a sword protruded from his chest from behind. The other elite looked at the owner of that sword in shock just before the third man wearing a Dahak 'Elite Guard' uniform chopped his head off.

"To Tartarus with you, scum! I, Starleiger, shall have my revenge on you bastards for burning my village of Lukvillia," The surprisingly tall and handsome man called Starleiger said.

Questar and Xena had no time to question the newcomer as he slipped away while they disposed of the last 2 men. He looked very familiar, Gabrielle thought. The fight had been brief and vicious, 16 soldiers were dead, 3 unconscious, and 1 brain damaged so severely it would be no use to question him.

Xena and Gabrielle were already beside Blitta. One eye was swollen and her lips were split in 2 places, but fortunately that was all. The Dahak fanatics had only been there a few minutes before they had. Questar frisked the first unconscious man, finding only a few silver coins and the weird amulet that all the Dahak fanatics he'd fought were wearing. The uniforms they wore were damp, confirming a water hideout. Salt on the uniforms and the lack of slime ruled out the sewer.

"Oh, Xena! Gabrielle! Thank Zeus you came back," Blitta cried, she then noticed Mace and the rings both women now wore. "Well, you've been busy girls. Who's the other one?"

"That's Mace, they're brothers," Xena smiled shaking her head.

Same old Blitta, Xena thought, even after this scare.

"So, there are more like him at home? Honey, I'm packing up and moving to wherever they're from," Blitta smiled despite the pain. "Poor Lucidia, she tried to protect me when these men showed."

Xena shared Blitta's sadness. Lucidia had been a whore, but she didn't deserve to die that way.

"Nothing, Xena. They don't have anything on them except these amulets," Questar said.

"Amulets?" Xena asked, remembering. "Does it look anything like this one?"

Xena pulled out the one she'd taken the day before.

"It's the same," Mace frowned.

"I was curious about this yesterday," Xena said. "There appears to be some kind of writing on them...."

"Writing? That's it! That's the missing clue! Gabrielle is a bard and familiar with several languages," Questar said, excited.

"I can try," Gabrielle smiled meekly.

Gabrielle sat down at the only remaining table and attempted to decipher the writing on the amulets. For the next 15 minutes there was nothing. The writing seemed to be gibberish, with no form or discernible pattern. Gabrielle shook her head in frustration. Three fighters and it was coming down to her abilities as a bard and she was failing.

The light was starting to fade. Xena was behind her and had picked up a double bladed ax left by a Dahak soldier. Questar and Mace had rented a cart and had the bodies hauled away thanks to some of their coins. Xena did a quick check of the edge. The dying light reflected off the ax and onto the amulet she held.

The light flashed into Gabrielle's eyes. Annoyed and frustrated, Gabrielle turned around and saw it. Reflected in the blade was the lettering on the amulet as clear as it could be to a bard who read numerous languages.

"Xena! Hold that ax right there! Yes! Yes! I did it!" Gabrielle cried.

"What? What does it say?," Questar asked.

"It says, 'A city shall rise, Another sleep falls, From dusk to sunrise, The mist covers all'," Gabrielle read.

"Mace, that RPG video game you used to like before Pl@yst@tion came out; it had a castle rising from the sea," Questar said.

"But we questioned a lot of people and none of them mentioned anything like that," Xena said, doubting.

"A castle that comes at dark and down during the day? That would still be pretty noticeable," Mace said skeptically.

"Not if everyone's been magically put to sleep," Gabrielle chimed in, getting it.

"Right. 'Another sleep falls, the mist covers all'," Questar said. "All except for someone wearing one of these."

"Blitta! You've got to get out of the city now," Xena ordered. "You've got to hide until tomorrow. One way or the other it ends tonight!"

"Oh no, I'm not leaving too," Gabrielle said as Questar, Mace, and Xena looked at her. "If Dahak gets you guys I'm as good as dead anyway. I'm not taking any chances that one of Dahak's monsters will eat me or that some of his soldiers will capture me and use me as a hostage against you. I'm going all the way with this one."

"I don't think we could stop her if we chained her to a wall," Xena smiled, proud of the little bard.

"Okay, you're in," Questar shrugged.

At that time a somewhat revived Joxer reached the docks. Seeing Mace, Joxer drew his sword and charged angrily.

"Die, wizard! I'll make you pay for putting your evil spell on my woman!" Joxer screamed.

"Is he really this stupid?" Mace asked to no one in particular.

Mace caught Joxer with a judo throw sending the clown flying. Joxer landed hard, breaking Blitta's last table, the breath knocked from his body. Mace stepped on Joxer's hand forcing hi to let go of his sword. One handed Mace threw Joxer over his shoulder and carried the half-wit over to a sewer grate. Sensing what he had planned, Gabrielle ran over and lifted the grate.

"Why thank you, honey," Mace beamed.

"Joxer, I don't love you. I'm not even sure if I like you," Gabrielle said. "Give it up! I love Mace! I'm m-a-r-r-i-e-d, married."

Mace dropped Joxer into the sewer. The foul water cushioned his fall even as it covered him from head to toe. Joxer wretched as he had accidentally swallowed some of it.

You'll pay for this, evildoer! Joxer the might will smite thee," Joxer ranted before coughing up more slime.

"Joxer, get a life," Mace said.

"He's never going to give up you know," Xena said shaking her head.

"I knoowww," Gabrielle whined. "But, Xena, I don't love him. I could never love someone like him. At best I pity him for being such a pathetic loser."

"I suggest we put these amulets on and try to find a boat," Questar said," We've got about 30 minutes to prepare for the biggest fight of our lives."

The End - Chapter 4

(Chapter 5)

Xena gave Blitta the directions on how to get to the camp the 4 of them had stayed the previous night as they escorted her to the gate and safety. They hurried to the stables to check on Argo and for Questar and Mace to get weapons from their unique backpacks.

Mace slipped a nunchaku into an unnoticed outside slot on his right boot. Questar had a sai on each boot. Both men strapped on wristbands on each arm containing 12 slim throwing daggers each. Mace then strapped on a belt containing a bowie knife and a tonfa. Xena looked at them curious as to why only now did the brothers arm themselves.

"This is war," Questar stated at the unvoiced question. "You ready little brother?"

"Ready to kick ass and take names," Mace smiled in reply.

"Xena, Gabrielle, we've got some extra weapons if you need anything," Questar said.

"Thank you, but I'm fine. I think it's best if we stick with weapons we're used to," Xena said.

"Gabrielle, at least take this extra set of sais," Mace said, "They're easy to use and very versatile."

"I'll give them a try, thanks," Gabrielle said, giving Mace a quick kiss.

The 4 adventurers exited the stable and started back towards the docks. As they got back to what was left of Blitta's pub they saw Joxer blocking their path. Joxer was somewhat worse for wear after being outclassed twice already by Mace and was still dripping slime from his recent sewer experience. Joxer was advancing on Mace more cautiously this time.

"We don't have time for this," Mace said, putting his hand over his face in an 'oh brother' gesture, "The sun's almost down."

"Let me try darling," Gabrielle said walking towards the fool. "Joxer! Stop it! This has gone on long enough! I don't love you! I love Mace! I am married to Mace! Leave me alone!"

"It's all right, my dove. After I slay that evil enchanter we can finally be together and be man and wife," Joxer said, not listening to anything Gabrielle said. "I think we should have a large family. Will 10 sons be enough? Or do you want 12?"

"Aaaarrrrhhhhhh!! That's it!" Gabrielle screamed kicking Joxer in the balls.

Joxer doubled over as Gabrielle punched him as hard as she could, knocking him cold. Gabrielle was crying as Mace embraced her. Gabrielle clung to her true man desperately.

"Oh Max," Gabrielle cried. "Take me away from him. Take me to that future you talk about. I'll follow you anywhere you want to go."

Mace tenderly stroked her hair and kissed away her tears. Xena had always known that Gabrielle had never liked Joxer and resented the way that she and Joxer were always being forced on each other, but even Xena had not know just how deeply Gabrielle despised Joxer, until now. Minutes later the foursome arrived on the docks just as the sun disappeared from the horizon. No sooner did the sun go down, when a green mist rose from the waters surface moving inland.

Everyone touched by the mist fell into a deep sleep where they stood. All save those wearing Dahak amulets. There was no way to hire a boat, so Questar chose a sturdy looking craft and left enough generic coins to the owner to buy 3 better boats. Setting out Questar and Mace rowed the small boat to the edge of the harbor. Now it was a waiting game. Gabrielle giggled as Mace kept tickling her and kissing her while she tried to pack up her scrolls.

A half hour later, a blood-red full moon appeared. A loud rumble filled the air, followed by a sudden wave that overturned and smashed the small boat sending Questar, Mace, Xena, and Gabrielle into the water. Damn! I was expecting that and still got caught off guard, Questar inwardly cursed, angry at himself.

The nightmarish castle rose from the sea just outside the harbor. The castle looked like it had came from the combined nightmares of Dante, H.R. Geiger, and Steven King. Mace had rescued Gabrielle and made it to a walkway on the huge castle. Xena needed no help and was in fact a stronger swimmer than even the 2 Southern Californians. Except for his wristbands, Mace had lost all of his weapons.

"My scrolls!" Gabrielle gasped. "They're gone! Oh, I knew I should have left them at the stable."

"I'm sorry Gabrielle. History can't be changed. I'm betting that was the story about us," Questar said. "Your scrolls are in a waterproof container and will be found 2000 or so years from now. I'm more concerned about you though. Are you all right?"

"I'm fine, I guess," Gabrielle replied brushing her wet hair from her eyes.

"Everyone okay? I'm sorry, that was my fault. I should have had a tk shield up. Instead I got caught like a rank amateur," Questar admitted.

"No sweat, big bro," Mace smiled," Who knew this place would pop up so fast."

"Take it from someone who knows," Xena said. "Lao Ma; No plan ever survives the first encounter with the enemy."

"Huh?" Questar asked, confused.

"Chaos Lords is right, if the architecture is any indication," Gabrielle wondered aloud.

"Wish we knew how to fly. Then we could scout around this place and get some kind of an idea what the layout is," Mace said.

"People can't fly, silly," Gabrielle said amused.

"Boy, are you going to be in for a surprise," Mace smiled knowingly.

A rusted gate led to an inner courtyard. Over the gate was a demonic visage.

"Enter freely and of your own free will," Questar said.

Xena and Gabrielle didn't know why Questar's statement sent a chill down their spines. The castle seemed to be made of courtyards as they went through 3 in a row with no sign of rooms or doors. In the fourth courtyard they surprised 20 Dahak regulars who were obviously replacing the devastated 'Elite Guards.'

Xena got in the first strike as she hurled her chakram with lethal force, killing 6 men before it returned to her hand. Questar hurled 2 of his slim daggers catching one man in the heart another in the brain. Drawing her sword Xena killed 3 more before Questar and Mace caught up with her. Questar stabbed 2 men in the heart with with his sharp sai, blocked a sword strike behind his head, reversed the sai stabbing that soldier in the heart, while slicing another soldiers throat with the other sai.

Mace caught the wrist of a man with a double bladed ax, flipped that man down and crushed his throat with a stomp. Mace kicked the ax up, caught it, and chopped a soldier's head off that had been heading for Gabrielle. Xena slashed twice more and another 2 soldier's fell. One soldier dodged around Mace and lunged for Gabrielle. Almost without thinking Gabrielle parried his thrust and split the mans skull with her counterswing.

Gabrielle was in shock. There was very little blood on her hands, but she had just killed again, albeit accidentally. Mace took out another man with a throwing dagger as Questar stabbed the last man. The fight had lasted 2 minutes. Mace quickly cradled Gabrielle's head and whispered, "It's all right."

"Remind me to stay on your good side," Questar said to Xena.

"I don't think you'll any trouble as long as you keep this intact," Xena joked, teasingly rubbing Questar's crotch.

For a half hour they searched the castle. Mace had kept the ax and Gabrielle had snapped out of shock quickly. They ran into and wiped out 2 more 20 man squads of Dahak regulars. Questar and Xena made a contest to see who could take out the most men. Xena won by 2. Entering a hall they were attacked by 10 Dahak priests armed with 12" long daggers. From them they got the location of the great hall where the 20 girls were to be sacrificed after a little 'persuasion.'

Racing to the location of the main hall they arrived to find solid 20 foot tall iron doors closed, locked, and guarded by two 9' tall trolls with huge arabian swords. I don't have time for this, Questar thought. Those girls could be sacrificed any minute. Chaos Lords liked to sacrifice at midnight, still almost 2 hours away, but even Chaos Lords could be unpredictable.

Questar leaped and caught the first troll perfectly with an 'eagle kick' snapping the trolls neck like a twig. The second troll recoiled in surprise. No man dared to take on a troll by himself, lest of all with his bare hands. The second troll swung his huge sword. Questar caught his arm and flipped him down. Wrenching the sword from his hand Questar chopped the troll's head off with his own sword.

Xena and Gabrielle's eyes grew wide. They had known that Questar had super-human strength, but to dispatch 2 trolls so easily was something they had thought only Hercules capable of. If he noticed their glances, Questar ignored them as he studied the huge gates.

"Mace, I don't think we can knock this door down even if we combine our strength," Questar said. "We'll use psychokinesis. On my command..."

"Questar! Xena! More guards and priests!" Gabrielle yelled.

"Gabby, to the rear," Questar ordered.

Questar, Mace, and Xena formed a semi circle around Gabrielle who was now at the door. Sixty soldiers and priests, crowded into a narrow passageway. They were easy pickings for the 3 defenders a the fanatics own numbers worked against them. Questar, Mace, and Xena never had to fight more than 1 or 2 apiece at any time.

As the last fanatic fell the trio turned around and saw Gabrielle leaning lazily against an unlocked partially opened door, a set of lock picks in her hand. Mace cracked up as Gabrielle faked a yawn.

"Just a little something I picked up from Autolycus," Gabrielle smiled.

"It's show time then," Questar said. "One way or the other it ends now."

Knowing that death and impossible odds faced them on the other side, the 4 adventurers still didn't hesitate as they charged into the lair of the Dahak!

The great hall was huge, a bit bigger than a football field. Soldiers, priests, and assorted creatures were lined on each side of the hall. The odds were great, but not nearly as bad as Questar feared, about 200 regulars, 20 Elite Guards, 50 priests, a half dozen trolls, 20 some orcs, a pair of fire drakes, some assorted intelligent serpents, and a handful of other creatures. A huge sacrificial alter stood mid-way in the center, stained brown from the blood of numerous innocents.

But it was all old blood. Behind the alter, the floor rose a few feet into a semi-plateau. On that plateau were 20 beautiful young girls, naked, but still alive, performing in a lesbian orgy before they were to be killed. Xena immediately spotted Livia, who was the only one who didn't seem to be enjoying the lesbian sex.

The thin skeletal figure on the raised golden throne throne several yards behind them also didn't seem to be enjoying it. Something is screwy here, Questar thought. Why is he making the girls do each other if it's hurting him? Is that Dahak? Is that his true form? Why is he squirming if this is what he likes?

With the exception of Livia, all the other girls seemed to be really enjoying it. Why did Dahak choose almost all orphans? They obviously didn't want to get their hearts ripped out. Xena noted that despite the situation Questar and Mace were becoming aroused at the sight of the 20 girl orgy. To her surprise Xena felt her own mound getting wet and looking at Gabrielle knew that she was becoming aroused as well despite the danger.

"Who dares disturb my ritual?" Dahak's booming voice belied the frail looking body.

"I do! I am Questar, acting leader of the Global Order of Law and Defense. I have dared the time stream in order to end your foul existence like I and my friends have ended those of your brethren," Questar challenged.

"Oh yes, those fools. I did not think I would have to waste my time with you worms by coming to this era. You gnats have became became very annoying, somehow managing to destroy 11 of my brothers. For that alone I should slay you. The gods themselves were never able to fully conquer us. We never foresaw that freaks like you so called heroes would arise someday to challenge us. Thus did my brothers underestimate you," Dahak said. "That was their downfall. But it was you and that demi-god 'brother' of your who led the fight against us. For you and he do I have the utmost hatred."

"To me that's a compliment, scum bag," Questar sneered. "What I can't figure out is why you're here in this time. Unless you're afraid to tell everyone."

"Man, he's good," Mace whispered to Gabrielle. "That's s.o.p. heroes plan alpha. Goad the bad guy into revealing his entire plan."

"After thousands of years without worshippers and the power it took to finally escape the 'Nether Sphere' we were weakened to a degree that made us vulnerable. My brothers foresaw the threat your miserable little group posed, but we too were divided. Lord Michael foolishly revealed our existence far too soon. The others, many of them dismissed your group attacking alone or in pairs often without a plan. Only I saw the way to victory," Dahak continued. "By coming back to this time I could rebuild my power with those foolish enough to believe in me. Once I regain enough power I shall slay the Israelite as an infant and absorb his infinite power. Once the Nazarene is taken care of I shall slay the lesser gods who banished us. The Earth will then be bathed in blood for all eternity."

"You are even sicker and more stupid than I thought," Questar said shaking his head," You can't win because history can't be changed. The Nazarene will be born and he will fulfill his destiny. Nothing can change that."

"Then arrest me, hero, if you can," Dahak sneered.

"I come not to praise Caesar, but to bury him," Questar spat defiantly.

Xena liked that line even though she didn't know the source. Dahak's skeletal face contorted by anger.

"Hey loser," Questar continued. "Do you have the balls to take us on yourself or do you have to hide under your bed. You obviously were too chicken shit to fight me in our real time. Wouldn't you just love to make me eat my words personally. C'mon Dahak! How about it! Let's party!"

Dahak was visibly stung by Questar's challenge in front of his followers. Many of them were even looking at him doubtfully already. A few started forward, but Dahak angrily waved them back. The girls had long since fled to a corner and huddled together terrified. Dahak used an invisible barrier between his followers and the four mortal fleas who dared defy him.

Floating down off his throne Dahak now stood in front of his obscene alter. He would teach these mortal worms a lesson. Questar smiled. Chaos Lords were soooo predictable.

"No interference," Dahak roared. "Your lord will crush these gnats personally. I shall take their women by force and then mutilate them before I kill them in front of the men. I shall then rip out their hearts and eat them as proof of my power."

Dahak's form shifted and changed, becoming larger and more demonic. Ten feet tall with 2' long twisting horns on each side of his head and a third in the middle of his forehead. Curving 6" tusks like a boars came from his twisted mouth that, when opened, revealed 4" fangs dripping with black venom. Arms as thick as both of Questar's ended in razor sharp talons. There were no wings, but there was a four foot long prehensile tail with a scorpion stinger on the end that dripped an acid that made small pockmarks in the stone floor. Trunk like legs ended in hooves like a satyr's.

What a cliché! Couldn't he come up with something original? Questar thought. By taking on a Satanic, Judeo-Christian form Dahak had hoped to play mind games with Questar and Mace. He had failed because they had known exactly what to expect.

Mace threw his ax right at Dahak's chest. Dahak stopped the ax, sending it back at Mace. Gabrielle made the save by knocking the ax aside with her staff. Xena slashed Dahak twice only to be knocked backwards by a backhand swipe. Questar came in landing three powerful kicks followed by ramming both the sharp sai into Dahak's eyes.

Dahak roared in pain. The sai were made of silver! This was impossible! These mortals had actually hurt him! As Dahak grew a new set of eyes, Mace had succeeded in gabbing his flailing tail and Xena chopped it off, depriving Dahak of a weapon. Questar had hurled 4 of his daggers into Dahak during this time. The daggers were also silver.

Xena cut Dahak 3 more times before the Chaos Lord regained his sight. The twin sai, still stuck in his head looked like antenna. Dahak ignored the pain and caught Xena's sword in his hand. Dahak then snapped it and swung wildly at Xena. Xena ducked and rolled backwards as Questar moved in landing a dozen death blows that incredibly staggered Dahak to the chagrin of his followers. Each blow would have killed an elephant.

Dahak threw Questar hard into a wall, but Questar kipped up and scored with 3 more silver daggers. Gabrielle, who had been totally ignored, snuck behind Dahak and rammed her staff as hard as she could into the oozing stump where his tail had been. Gabrielle backed away as Xena moved in landing rapid nerve strikes. Questar leaped and kicked sending Dahak to the floor.

This was incredible! These gnats, these weaklings, these mortals were actually hurting him! Only the gods had ever caused him pain before this day. Dahak could feel some of his power fade as many of his followers were already beginning to lose their faith.

Dahak kicked out with his hoofed leg catching Questar coming in and sending the hero flying. Questar felt a rib crack. Mace moved in landing 2 dragon punches and a spin kick before Dahak's counter punch sent him reeling. Dahak lowered his head to impale Mace on his horns. Xena hurled her chakram slicing off all 3 of Dahak's twisted horns.

Enraged, Dahak hurled Xena back with a wave of his hand. Gabrielle had snuck in again, using her staff to sweep Dahak off his feet. Mace was on top of Dahak in an instant, hitting the monster with everything he had. Fists that could shatter solid stone rained down on Dahak. Dahak levitated up and punched Mace, sending him crashing into the invisible barricade.

Dahak turned his attention to Gabrielle, hurling a pillar weighing 10 tons at her. Questar shattered it with a psychokinetic blast then sent the shrapnel back at Dahak with telekinesis. The sharp fragments ripped at Dahak's flesh. For the first time Dahak was beginning to regret trying to fight these mortals himself. Now he had no choice but to finish them himself because if he fled or called for help his hard won followers would desert him, leaving him easy prey to his many enemies.

Mace's left eye was swollen shut as he hurled three silver daggers into Dahak's exposed ripped up flesh. Questar and Mace flanked Dahak, who realized too late that it was a feint as Xena drop-kicked Dahak from the front and Gabrielle rammed her staff into his back again. Dahak whirled striking both Xena and Gabrielle. Xena now had a sprained ankle Gabrielle had a split lip.

Since pryokinesis would heal Dahak Questar and Mace weren't using it. Questar and Mace instead used psychokinetic battering rams that almost busted Dahak in two. Dahak was down for only the second time in his unholy life and was forced to use a lot of power to heal himself. We're doing it, Mace thought. We're actually beating him!

With a roar of rage mixed with pain Dahak hurled electricity out of his body in all directions sending his opponents reeling. Questar quickly rose shakily to his feet, motioning Xena, Mace, and Gabrielle to stand beside him. The assembled creatures gaped in wonder. These 4 had withstood everything that their master could throw at them and not only still stood, but had showed that they could severely hurt their master.

"What's the matter, Dahak? Mortal's a little too tough for you?" Questar taunted. "Look at your big bad master! Do you want to serve someone who can't even handle 1 man, 1 woman, a boy, and a little bard?"

Many of the assembled creatures and men were beginning to waver. Dahak was confused as he launched another huge pillar at them thinking them easy targets since they were all in one spot. Questar and Mace combined their telekinetic powers sending it back at him. Dahak went down for the third time from the unexpected counter-attack.

Dahak levitated the pillar off of him as Questar moved in landing a flurry of punches and kicks. Dahak reeled, but managed to land a counter-punch that broke another of Questar's ribs and sent him flying back. Xena was back on the attack as was Mace. Dahak grew two more arms to try and counter this newest assault.

Dahak's talons raked downwards ripping Xena's armor. Only Xena's reflexes saved her as she backflipped away, her armor completely torn off, her large breasts exposed, but amazingly unmarked. For some reason that reminded her of something that Ares had said yesterday. Mace landed two powerful punches, with silver daggers protruding from in between his fingers.

Dahak caught Mace's wrists with 2 of his hands. Squeezing, Mace was forced to drop the 6 daggers in his hands. Dahak leaned forward to bite Mace with his poisoned fangs. Gabrielle caught Dahak right in the mouth with her staff shattering Dahak's fangs, tusks, and several other sharp pointed teeth. Dahak's howl of pain was horrific. Three regular soldiers, a minotaur, and a troll threw their weapons down and walked out of the room.

Dahak used a free hand to slap Gabrielle sending her backwards, barely conscious. Mace whipped his body up and kicked Dahak right in his already damaged mouth with both feet. Five more regulars, 2 priests, and 2 more trolls threw their weapons into the growing pile and left, along with the 2 fire drakes.

Dahak had his 2 free hands around Mace's throat and was attempting to choke the life out of him. Questar recovered the sai that Mace had given Gabrielle and sent the earlier discarded ax over to Xena. Xena charged and chopped off the arms that were choking Mace. Questar moved in with a double sai crane strike that forced Dahak to release Mace.

Questar spun the sai landing several handle strikes then stabbing Dahak deep in the mid-section. Mace was barely conscious as he gasped for air. I'll give Chaos Lords one thing, Questar thought. They're not weak. Questar ducked as Xena flipped over his back and kicked Dahak. Questar then landed a solid spinning front kick. Dahak finally had a opening for a killing shot at Xena.

Xena saw it too late and prepared for death. At the last moment Questar managed to push her away taking the shot himself. Questar 2 more ribs break. Still he would not surrender as he landed a solid side kick that again sent Dahak backwards. Dahak was hurt badly, but numerically had cut his foes in half.

During this time there had bee a few more desertions. Several of the more fanatical priests however had grouped together.

"We must aid the master, my brothers," a fat priest said.

"But how, brother?" another asked. "The barrier our master created prevents us from attacking those heretics."

"It's simple, brother. The sacrifices," the fat one said, drawing his dagger. "We slay them and their blood will revive our lord."

"Not while I live," came the voice of a man dressed as an Elite Guard.

The man previously calling himself Starleiger removed his helmet and drew his sword. The outraged priests gasped.

"Traitor," a priest yelled.

"Wrong! I am vengeance!" Starleiger shouted.

The priests charged. Starleiger spun his sword killing the first three, kicked one priest, whirled and sliced open another. Starleiger ducked, reversed his sword, and impaled one priest, then with a quick rising strike sliced open the chest of another. A fallen dagger fell close to Livia. Seizing it she plunged it into the back of a priest trying to sneak up on Starleiger. Livia had known when she had first seen this guard 2 weeks ago that he was different than all the others.

Starleiger nodded his thanks as he sliced 2 more priests including the fat one. Questar and Xena were too busy to notice the actions of Starleiger. Xena landed a forearm smash while Questar ducked a fireball then came in low with solid chop right to the solar plexus of Dahak causing even the Chaos Lord to gasp.

Almost in desperation Dahak sent out a wave of force that sent Questar and Xena back against the barrier. Xena landed badly suffering a mild fracture in her left forearm. The outcome of the fight was still in doubt.

"Any ideas?" Questar asked as he prepared to charge again.

"Ares said something about 'L' word that he hated being the key," Xena said remembering.

"L word? What word would start with L and be a word that the god of war would hate?" Questar asked.

Questar's strategy had been to weaken Dahak by causing doubt in his followers. It was working, but not fast enough. Dahak had visibly not liked the lesbian orgy, but had toughed it out. Why? Because the terror and pain of the girls would be greater if they saw their lovers die in front of them.

"I wonder why Aphrodite was with him," Xena said.

Lovers. The goddess of love. A word that war hates. Dahak stood for hate and death. His weakness, his true weakness, was love! Love and the potential for life/sex! Consensual sex between people who were in love! Questar threw back his head and laughed. Even Dahak paused.

"You're finished, Dahak! Stick a fork in you, you're done!" Questar laughed.

Questar embraced Xena and kissed her, putting all the considerable love for her he had in the kiss. Xena was confused, but kissed back ardently. Dahak recoiled in terror sending a dozen followers to drop their weapons and desert. Gabrielle had crawled over to Mace who was still trying to catch his breath.

"What's he doing?" Gabrielle asked.

"I think I know," Mace croaked. "C'mon, lets get over there."

Questar hugged his brother then tenderly kissed Gabrielle. Xena kissed Mace, hugged Gabrielle then the two women kissed deeply. Questar removed his shirt then helped Xena remove what was left of her leather outfit. Gabrielle removed her top while Mace had took off his boots and was removing his pants. Soon all 4 of them were naked and embracing each other.

No! NO! Noooooooo!!!" Dahak screamed in agony, unable to even attack.

Questar was sensuously licking Xena's mound while Mace and Gabrielle licked Xena's nipples. As if sensing what was going on the 19 orphan girls began kissing each other. Soon the lesbian orgy was resuming, with one girl absent. Starleiger threw down his sword as Livia approached him. Livia knew that this man was not like the others.

"I have no right to talk to you, Livia," Starleiger said. "I am wearing this obscene uniform. But know this. I was never one of them and I have loved you from the first moment I set eyes on you, Livia."

"Then that uniform must be removed, my gallant Starleiger," Livia whispered.

Livia didn't know why or how, but somehow she knew that this handsome man was of the same breed as those that had fought so valiantly for them and even now continued to fight, in a different way. Starleiger removed the uniform he had donned in hatred for its master. He had been prepared to die this day in his attempt for justice for his family and his village.

Livia stepped into his arms and they kissed. Xena was riding Questar's huge penis while Gabrielle massaged her breasts from behind as Mace slowly penetrated her doggy style. Positions changed many times. Xena ate Gabrielle's pussy while Mace took Xena anally and Questar fucked Xena's pussy. Xena and Gabrielle were 69'd while Questar fucked Gabrielle's pussy and Mace fucked Xena's cunt. Xena played with Gabrielle's breasts when she rode Questar's cock with Mace fucking Gabrielle's ass.

Starleiger and Livia made love on Dahak's throne while the lesbians continued their orgy. No one knew when Dahak died. There would be no escape, resurrection, or rebirth for him.

The End - Chapter 5

(Chapter 6)

During the weeks the orphan girls and Livia had spent in captivity they had been forced to have sex with each other, but had been unmolested by any of Dahak's men so that they would all technically remain virgins. All of them except Livia had became 100% lesbians. Now that they were free the 19 orphan girls all wanted to stay together. Since only the amazons openly accepted lesbianism,* the orphan girls declared that they wanted to be amazons. Gabrielle wrote them a letter to give to Ephiny instructing her tribe of amazons to accept these new recruits.

To aid them, Questar gave them some gold from Dahak's treasure room. Xena and Blitta wrapped up Questar's broken ribs, impressed that he never made a sound. More of Dahak's stolen gold had paid off all of Blitta's debts with lots to spare to build a huge full service pub as well as a decent burial for the unfortunate Lucidia. A little more was set aside for a grand wedding for Livia and Starleiger.

Starleiger had infiltrated the 'Dahak Elite' after they had destroyed his village and left him for dead. A better swordsman than any of the other 'Elites' it had been simple for him to kill a guardsman and take his place. Like Questar, Xena, Mace and Gabrielle, he had been willing to die just for a chance of killing the monster that had been the Dahak.

"You know he's our ancestor," Questar told Mace when they were alone. "The resemblance to our father as a young man is uncanny."

"You think the girls know?" Mace asked.

"Probably," Questar said. "I'm glad he's a hero. Maybe it really does run in the family."

"It's so weird though," Mace said. "Hey, you wanna know something even weirder? Gabrielle saw that old picture of us with the rubber bones in our mouths and thinks that Dragon and I look like each other."

Questar gave his little brother a puzzled look. Then Questar stopped dead in his tracks. Questar's eyes grew wide as if he'd never even looked at his brother before this. What the hell is going on? Questar thought. I've known China Dragon since we were babies. I was 10 when Mace came around. How the hell could I not notice this before? As crazy as it seemed, Mace did resemble China Dragon at that age. Both brothers looked at each other.

"The force is strong in our family," Mace joked, breaking the oddly awkward moment. "Live long and prosper."

"Leave the jokes to Robin Williams," Questar laughed, throwing mock punches at Mace.

Rejoining Xena, Gabrielle, Blitta, Starleiger, and Livia, Questar told them of his plan to redistribute the rest of the stolen treasure in Dahak's fortress to those that really needed it because finding the original owners would be impossible, even if they still lived. After much discussion they decided that Hercules would be the best person to determine what charities were worthy.

Questar talked privately with Xena about coming back with him to the year 2000. Mace was helping Gabrielle write the letter they were going to send to Hercules.

"You can always come back if it you don't like it, or ever get tired of me, or get homesick, Xena," Questar said. "I can't guarantee you that you'll be happy in such a strange new world. But Xena, what I can offer you is a world unlike any you've ever known. In my world, you can have everything that really matters. A new life where you can be a heroine, atone for anything you've done, and still have a home, a family. You can truly have it all Xena, and do it all on your own terms."

Since she loved Questar, Xena said that yes, she'd give it a try. Wild minotaurs weren't going to stop Gabrielle from going. Actually Xena's only real regret was leaving Argo. She didn't know that Questar already had a little surprise waiting for her in 2000. A pure white Arabian! Xena asked Gabrielle to add a note asking Hercules to also take good care of Argo in in the letter.

As they finished their plans Mace asked Gabrielle if she would take him to the market of Tarlocus to pick up some of what he called 'souvenirs' for his mother since he was going to give his father the ax he had used. As they left Questar explained how they kept their identities a secret without wearing masks. Something that seemed odd to Xena. The whole concept of secret identities was foreign to her.

As they shopped in the market, Gabrielle and Mace were having a good time. Mace let Gabrielle do all the haggling. Gabrielle knew that Mace still had a fortune in his generic coins and could pay whatever price was asked, but was getting him great deals. Mace was also buying Gabrielle gifts, like a set of gold earrings she had liked.

Joxer leaped at Mace from hiding. Mace spun around and kicked Joxer, sending the fool flying backwards. Joxer crashed into a barrel containing sticky black tar. Barely conscious, Joxer lay there, completely covered by the sticky mess. This inspired Mace, who paid a man with dozens of chickens twice what they were worth. Mace then threw Joxer into the stacked coops. Joxer was soon coated with feathers by the angry birds.

Mace then clapped Joxer into the public stocks in front of everyone. Maybe this humiliation will cool him off, Mace thought. Gabrielle was cracking up at the sight of Joxer as were lots of children. Later that day they were finally ready to leave for the future when Joxer, still half covered in sticky feathers showed up yet again. This time Joxer was not alone. Beside him was his brother Jett, the assassin!

"There he is! That's the man who beat me up, threw me in the sewer, hung me upside down, and covered me in tar and feathers," Joxer whined. "And worst of all he's kidnapped my beloved and cast an evil spell on her! Kill him for me brother!"

"Be careful Max," Gabrielle cried, "Jett is a trained assassin and no imbecile like his brother."

Mace sighed wearily. He would have no more trouble taking out Jett than he would have against an ant. Mace sized up Jett, skilled, but Mace knew he could take him with 1 shot in dozens of ways.

"It's time to die for beating up my brother," Jett said.

"And that's MY brother," Questar angrily said as he seized Jett by the throat with one hand and held the killer a foot off the ground as if he was weightless. "Xena, Gabrielle, does this man mean anything to you?"

"Jett is a ruthless assassin for hire, but he really kills for pleasure," Xena said, making a 'thumbs down' gesture.

"My feelings exactly," Gabrielle said, also giving a thumbs down.

Questar snapped Jett's neck one-handed. Realizing that discretion was the better part of valor for a change, Joxer tried to sneakily run away only to find the steely hand of Mace firmly on his neck. At that moment Gabrielle saw the old slaver woman and her 2 guards down the street and had an idea.

"This one's pretty puny, Amazon Queen," the old woman croaked. "Are you sure you don't want to sell the other 2? They're a little banged up, but I'd still give you 2000 dinar each for them."

"Sorry, those 2 are keepers," Gabrielle replied.

"I'll give you 100 dinar. Take it or leave it," the crone smiled.

"It's a deal," Gabrielle grinned shoving the bound Joxer to her.

Joxer recoiled in horror as the crone started stroking him intimately. The sewer had smelled better.

"Come on pretty boy, I need my pussy licked," the crone laughed, dragging Joxer into her tent.

"No! No! Gabrielle please! Don't do this Gabrielle!" Joxer begged. "Gabrielle!"

Laughing, Gabrielle ran around the corner to join the others. She handed the 100 dinar to Starleiger, who now wore the uniform of the city guard.

"Just give us enough time to get out of here, 5 minutes should be enough, then buy him back," Questar said, strapping on his backpack. "I despise slavery, it's worse than murder in my book. I'm only overlooking it this time so we can get out of here in peace. Is everybody ready?"

Gabrielle clung tightly to Mace and Xena gave Questar a kiss for luck. Questar pressed the retrieval button. Colors and lights danced in front of them as they seemed to spin weightlessly into a black void. Xena, Gabrielle, and even Mace felt sick as they seemed to tumble into a void. Questar, of course, was used to it. Just as it seemed as if they were about to throw up, the world stopped spinning as they were surrounded by 4 walls.

"So, you finally did it, you pervert," came a friendly, strong, and masculine voice behind them.

Turning around they saw a tall, oriental man with blond hair and skin that looked like solid gold. A big smile was on his handsome features.

"Dragon," Questar cried in joy.

"I don't want to hear any more jokes about me being an old married man," China Dragon smiled. "I'm back, you pervert!"

Questar and Dragon bear hugged each other. China Dragon had regained his full emotions! Mace frowned sadly until the two older men tackled him and began tickling him like they were kids.

"Auntie Em! Auntie Em! Hahahahaha," Mace laughed.

"Oh darling, I'm ready for round 123," came a seductive voice from a nearby room.

Xena and Gabrielle were struck by the unearthly beauty of the woman. Nude save for a sheet, long very blond hair, sea green eyes, but her most striking feature was her pretty pointed ears.

"I'm on my way Tara," Dragon grinned, then looked at Questar and Mace. "Hey, it's a tough job, but someone's got to do it. And I love my work!"

Two weeks later:

The alarm woke Xena up. Xena threw it against the wall smashing it as she had 9 others before. Despite the alarm Xena found herself rather liking this strange future world. Questar had taken her for a ride in a G.O.L.D. flying car and she had squealed with delight. Mace had taken Gabrielle to D!sn*yl@nd.

Questar had showed Xena all his hangouts including a bar for super heroes called 'The Rumpas Room' and the Pl@yb0y mansion. Every day fascinated Xena more. Xena's favorite thing though had been meeting Questar's parents. Xena met all the members of G.O.L.D. She really sympathized with Billy Ray after hearing the full story of what the Chaos Lords had done to him. Billy Ray was very likable.

Xena and Gabrielle liked all the girls and had had sex with all of them. Although Gabrielle was almost always in Mace's room. Questar, Dragon, and Shiro, were training Xena in the use of hi-tech devices and the skills she would need to continue her fight against injustice. Xena's past would never haunt her again.

Here, in this new world, Xena could truly be a warrior princess who fought for justice. As for Questar, he was insatiable, and, if truth be told, so was she any time they got within 10 feet of each other. If anything their love was growing stronger. Xena no longer had any desire to go back.

Xena was absolutely crazy about movies and video. Xena liked action movies, and enjoyed old transferred videos of Questar, Dragon, and Billy Ray. They had all been 'hams.' Like Gabrielle, Xena was struck by the resemblance between China Dragon and Mace. She had finally learned Questar's real name when she and Gabrielle had tickled it out of Mace. No wonder he wanted it kept a secret!

Xena had also liked Tara's huge collection of super heroine lesbian porno tapes. In this time, Xena finally felt free to express her bi-sexual urges. Today Questar was going to take her somewhere he called 'Hollyweird' to meet some movie stars who were also super hero groupies. There was supposed to be a woman named Lucy something who was playing Xena on a tv how and upcoming movie. Xena was startled to find that the woman did slightly resemble her.

Actually Xena was several years younger, had bigger breasts and was more athletic. What really surprised Xena though was the fact that the actress sounded exactly like her, even to her war cry.

"Good morning, sleepyhead," Questar said, bringing her breakfast in bed.

"Take off your clothes, future man," Xena purred throwing the sheet off her nude body.

"The hell with breakfast," Questar smiled taking his clothes off.

This is not....

The End Questar and Xena will return in Terror on Terra

Xena and Gabrielle will also return in other alternate realities in Xena/Red Sonja-She Devil with a Chakram: and in Xena/Wonder Woman - An Age of Wonder; the sequel to Callisto's Triumph.

Special historical note: Both male and female homosexuality was very common in ancient Greece. Indeed the Isle of Lesbos gave us the word lesbian. The great poetess of Lesbos was Sappho, whose name is also associated with girl/girl love. According to what historical facts remain about her, the following are some of the most widely believed. During her childhood Lesbos was at war, this is historical fact.

Lesbos was badly losing during her very early childhood and most of the men on the island were killed in the war. About the time she 8 years old, Sappho's house was filled with many young girls and women, some say as many as 100. Sappho's father was a very high ranking and wealthy man. According to legend, many of the girls were engaging in girl/girl sex. Sappho is believed to have been seduced by an older girl of about 12. Some say she was a slave girl, but most believe it was the daughter of a Spartan general who lived in Lesbos during this time.

Sappho later married and had a daughter. After his death, after only about 10 years, Sappho opened up a school for girls only and still relatively young resumed a lesbian lifestyle until her death. During her life she was the most highly regarded bard, poetess, and songstress of her time. Like many figures she is no doubt a mixture of fact and fiction. These are things I have culled from several books about her during hard legitimate research. It may not be the real story of her.

As for the amazons. There are basis for them in fact as well. Ancient Greece gave us a lot of our civilization, but they had also had lots of wars. During some wars it was not uncommon for the male population of an entire village to be wiped out. Facing further raids by soldiers and bandits it is highly likely that many women would band together for protection, even going as far as to learn how to use weapons. All it would take during that time would be for one village of women to actually succeed in defending themselves for tales of 'fierce women warriors' to spread. Once again, women with no men are likely to turn to each other. I know lots more about this subject, but this enough for now.
