Jill, now empowered with heat vision from an uncontrolled fusion reaction within her body, finds herself increasingly vulnerable to antagonist Elise's magnetic field attacks. Despite her initial strength and agility as Fusion Girl, Jill is slowly stripped of her powers by these traps set up in the old refinery. As the magnetic generators malfunction and shut down, leaving her exposed to more power loss or permanent damage, Jill fights for control amidst Steve's increasing distress over being electrocuted.
